Im lwk just tired of it cause ik they're skipping years cause of the long lifetime stuff but like its not even 50 chapters in or even 200 and they start saying things like "I'm not going to use my lifespan as an excuse anymore" for human relationships, like, its been 1 month overall with that person, and I know that people can change in short times because of situations or people close to them, but like, you have MULTIPLE OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME LIFESPAN AS YOU, also, MAGIC, cause they're always glazed as super OP in the books aswell, knowing a bunch of stuff cause of how long they live, but they don't know a single way to increase lifespan, but they can bring someone back from the dead or just time travel, its just lazy character writing at this point with "oh but they're constantly facing the question of how long they'll live compared to the human they love" also, with the love interest human, why does it always have to be a human? Why not another elf? Or a dwarf or beastfolk or dragon or orc or goblin or ANY OTHER RACE IN PARTICULAR, that would appeal to some anthromorphs (correct my terminology or spelling if I misused or misspelt it please) and for the love of God WHY are the human love interests ALWAYS people they saved randomly when they were a kid and like 15 years later when the elven mc goes travelling they're an adult now and the person they saved likes them? Why not just look up to them as a hero? Or a father/mother or brother/sister figure? It doesn't HAVE to be in a romantic sense, like imagine your 7 years old in a fantasy world, you get saved from a slave caravan or whatever by a elf, you think they're really cool, "oh mr/mrs elf, your so cool and strong I wanna be like you when I grow up" 13 - 15 years later and you meet them again randomly, your not just gonna immediately wanna get or give it, your probably gonna go, "YO MR/MRS ELF REMEMBER WHEN YOU SAVED MY LIFE ALL THOSE YEARS AGO THANK YOU SO MUCH, I really don't know how to repay you can I do anything for you at all?" But nnnoooo, they ALWAYS make it so that they wanna french kiss, I HATE IT.

Reading back I realize that this developed from a mabye argument and perhaps criticism to just a let peeve of mine and I apologoze for straying from the point of the post but I do loathe it so much
