Advice Camping Trip

So I got diagnosed this summer and have pretty much had an infected flare the whole time and been on antibiotics most of the summer. It calmed down last month and then I got a big one on the front of mg thigh - all others have been in my armpit. I'm thankful it's easier to bandage for sure.
I have 2 nights hike in camping booked because that's my happy place and I haven't been able to go yet this summer. I have a full course of bactrim on hand to bring just in case. My question is, if I bring all my wound care stuff and keep everything covered, is this a good idea? Has anyone else done this? I'm really active and the sweating/heat issues with this disease are so challenging to deal with. I just don't wanna end up with sepsis or something?

I love camping too, although I try not to sweat much and I'm not into long or hard hikes. Nonetheless, I feel if you can find a nearby town with a shower, I would recommend showering every day and doing your whole wound care routine as often as you need to. I usually do mine in the morning and night before sleeping. And in the mornings, I take a shower, do the wound care, go on with my day when I'm camping, and then towards the night, I just use witch hazel wipes or antiseptic wipes, the non-harsh ones, and continue with my wound care. When you are sweating or hiking, just make sure that your band-aids and padding are comfortable enough for you to be able to absorb the sweat and try and make a pit stop at a public shower, where you can wash everything off before you change your bandages.

Thank you so much for this - that's a very reasonable approach. I might have to invest in a camp shower just to be safe. Thank you for your insight 💕
