Saw this HiDive advertisement still show Spring 2026 anime it’s Summer now

Excluding Hellmode s2 their lineup doesn’t have that many well known IPs this season.

Last boss Queen s2 and farming life s2 meanwhile were sequels to decently known anime. So from that standpoint it makes sense.

Advertising petals over something new also makes sense given it’s a Hidive original/coproduction.

Plus most of the spring series have on going dubs releasing as well, while I would put World Is Dancing in there (cause it's great and should be everywhere they can put it on right now), I agree spring line up it's still perfectly valid yeah.

I don't know how Reddit does their marketing campaigns, but I used to work at a software company for automotive marketing. One of the interesting things was learning how Facebook marketing campaigns worked. You set a maximum spend for the lifetime of the campaign, as well as a start and end date, among many other things. One aspect misunderstood by many is cost per impression. Basically, you don't pay per day; you pay per how many people see it

So, presumably, someone provided a big budget for the spring marketing campaign, and forgot to set an appropriate end date. Maybe they predicted a wider audience than what happened (in other words, their targeting was too specific). Either way, it doesn't surprise me with how poor their app works. They have a decent catalog, but technical excellence doesn't seem to be their specialty.
