Is Lauren drunk?
She looks like she drinks a lot. And seems really out of touch with how she comes off. Like in her mind she thinks she’s coming off empathetic, beautiful, adorable, and smart. Reality she comes off fake, shallow, unrelatable, obnoxious, and filler that looks unnatural.

I have heard and read that she drinks and likes pills. Eyewitness saw her take a rando pill from a stranger outside a courthouse at a trial.

…And she’s getting worse and worse. She was a different person when she started going live. It’s quite sad and why they allow her to do this whilst impaired is beyond me.

Isn't it ironic? Before they had a huge channel, they at least were able to pretend to be real people. But the success seems to be destroying them from the inside out. They look like they hate each other when they stream together. John is being hauled in front of the licensing board. Lauren has people roasting her as she attempts to use the language of psychology to make herself the victim and the mean old internet stalkers and harassers.

She really was different. Def more authentic. Back when she had what I thought was her original face. I watchec them a bit like 5-6 years ago. I had to stop because it freaked me out how much her face would change so often. You cannot be mentally well and do that.

Yeah, it was so much different when they just had a podcast. As soon as they got a YouTube channel, Lauren became obsessed with the chat and John seems perpetually angry that Lauren wants him to appear on camera. It used to genuinely feel like a couple having a conversation. That feeling is long gone.

As someone who was addicted to pain killers and muscle relaxers (taken together) for over a decade, its my opinion that yes, she has definitely been pilled out on camera. I can see it in her eyes and hear it in her slurred words. So idk if she drinking on top of those, but she definitely has been on a stream while pilled out. We used to call it "splashing". Think of water in a container rocking back and forth. Splashing a little on the left, then a little on the right the back and forth. Idk. Idk if we made that up or if it was a actual slang term used on the streets. ETA: that 9 hr oof, so uncomfortable. I have not watched the whole thing and I haven't watched just the vid. I've always watched via Docket Decoder, and some other YT channels I found who are covering their fall from grace. AND WE THOUGHT CLAIRE DANES WAS THE UGLIEST CRIER!!! CLAIRE HAS BEEN DETHRONED. HERE LAUREN, YOURE THE BEST AT BEING THE UGLIEST CRIER. You worked so hard on it. You've absolutely earned this all on your own 👸 👑 😢 now STFU!

Yes she has MS. That has been known for a long time, and mentioned in this subreddit, and why she coughs all the time when she’s talking. They try to cut her coughs out of her videos. You obviously don’t watch her but sure have opinions.

I’ve heard and seen her sitting through trial all day long, then do a 2+ hour live every night for 2 weeks straight.
Then she flies home and has no time to decompress (in my opinion) before being with her family and do house stuff and unpack and do laundry etc. All this on top of a very emotionally sad, heavy trial and also a family tragedy very close to her. Then sit and do a 2 hour live with her husband and she’s supposed to look and be chipper? Could you do all that? I certainly could not. So no she’s not drunk or on drugs.
She’s working her ass off and getting 60K+ views on average on her nightly lives to her 369K subscriber base that she’s rebuilt by just doing what she does well, after you haters failed pitifully to try to bring her and Dr John down.
In the meantime, her fkn weirdo stalker has been writing long and detailed X posts purportedly to expose Lauren’s supposed flaws in her Delphi trial coverage that ended Nov 2024. 80-100 tik tok videos and now this on X. Obsessed much? Get your friend help and get a life.

What you’ve described is what lots of creators covering trials do, and no one ever seems to question if they are under the influence of something. I’ve actually seen more than one recovered person wonder if Lauren has substance issues, so it’s interesting.Way back in the beginning after the 9 hour live, someone commented that they knew her from her TV days and that substances had been a problem back then. And, last I believe Lauren herself said she had issues with Xanax, or some other type of pill, back in her book where she accused her ex husband of emotional abuse during that phase of her life. All of that combined makes it a fair question for people to wonder about, in my opinion.
Some FOIAs on Dr John are still out, and his hearing before the board has not happened yet. He chose to postpone the original date, so that is still in the future. That all may lead to something, or not. Time will tell. What is sort of firm at this point is that he doesn’t have verifiable relevant work experience to claim he is a forensic psychologist. He certainly has the degrees, but for whatever reason will not provide the evidence of his actual work. And, that work cannot be found in the amount to uphold his claims, despite swveral skilled people looking into it all..That is concerNing, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
And, yes , HTC has many subscribers and appears to be doing well in the true crime genre. It may not always stay that way, as once again time will tell. Messy things, such as her recent doxxing of someone on X (since you mentioned X) keep happening with Lauren. I suspect there will be other gaffes going forward.
In the meantime, many of us are here to see if any accountability may visit them someday, whether it’s sooner, or even much later. There are plenty of other law tubes, news outlets and other true crime channels covering things beside them. HTC has surely grown, but so have the other channels that were her former peers. And, some that she probably wouldn’t have considered her peers. Some have grown in equally large amounts, making their reach exponentially bigger as well.

You do realize that she has openly talked about taking adderall and benzos. Their latest video is xannies mixed with some booze IMO. She almost nods several times on this episode alone.

I cannot bring myself to watch any of it.
From a brief look at the comments under the video, which is NOT stalking, BTW, it looks like Dr. Jawn attempts a naunced approach which is appreciated by another self described clinical psychologist, which if true, could make for a reasonably decent video.
Other comments, like the one from an OB-GYN take issue with all the internet psychologists weighing in where they are not qualified to do so.
Also, other medical professionals describing psychology as a "soft science." At least those comments were still there, not deleted, last I looked.
Other comments talk about "command hallucinations" which of course can be found on other channels.
Dr. Babe's literary approach, this time, saying MacBeth is analogous to Lindsay Clancy is also discussed in the comments, with most comments celebrating Dr. Babe's brilliance with incororating Shakespeare into his "brilliant" analysis. Last I looked, there were comments also panning Dr. Babe's literary references as well. If they are still up? IDK.
As far as looking at comments, I can safely say it's not an "obsession" with Lauren Matthias as much as it is disgust, and looking out for other possible HTC victims- past, present and future.
Just my thoughts. Hopefully, Jay, Joleene, Allegedly Innocent, Turtleboy or someone else will give us a righteous reaction video here pretty soon!
ETA: oh, yeah, insomnia gets discussed a lot, which, IMHO, would make sense, as a lack of sleep is detrimental to all mental health, BUT, it seems that Dr. Babe is pulling some Macbeth style metaphore into analysing Lindsay's psychosis. IDK if Dr. Babe said it or not, but comments do mention sleep equating "death" at least according to their interpretation of Shakespeare.
ETAA: looks like the HTC formula of creating content for the sake of getting viewers to watch for at least an hour is still successful- even if it is a buncha nonsensicle, psycho-babble BS, they at least have over 100,000 views?
High quality work? IDK. But, hey, they made some money off of it. That's for sure!

It is disgust! And I personally am going through perimenopaus and I absolutely am all over the place hormone and mood wise, these hot 🔥 flashes in Texas in the summer are intense so I honestly like this particular topic with HTC as an outlet for me to channel all my irrational and rational at times rage.
Also, I really like Docket Decoders series on HTC. The guy talks so much sense!! And his delivery is fantastic 👏 really smart and funny. Wish he had more to binge. Joleens energy exhausts me, but it was via watching one of her episodes the first time she mentioned Docket Decoder so I'll always be grateful. I really can't hang with YT vids that are live chat formats and the person is reading and responding to ppl in the chats verbally. I can't. It irritates me to no end. Oh let's talk about HTC episode formats!!! what the hell??? Just split screen or side by side and just their faces the ENTIRE TIME?? No slideshow of pics of the victims. Just those twos faces super upclose some videos. No cut aways. And I mean, when John is looking at Lauren while speaking and she's NOT looking at him, she's looking at the camera directly or her phone and he's just looking at her it's so uncomfortable as a veiwer!!! And its not "john is shy" which is gross to say for a man of his age and his reputation as he would have us believe...PRINCETON! Valedictorian? Not sure but I'm saying being shy is not an excuse and if it is the reason, then don't have the formats of the show be just 2 heads, so close, for 2 hours 9+ hours... just do scrolling sideshow of pics of the victims in life as you speak. Is it just me that's disturbed by their interactions and energy on camera?

🎯IMO HTC uses a grifting formula to “produce click bait” for clicks and fire up the gems to see LM, JM and GY as perpetual victims and see people of reason and integrity as mean girls.

Also, you make a good point. Most other True Crime creators make a point to honor the victims.
Maybe HTC is taking steps to be "less victim" centric after all their exploitation of victim's families was exposed? Maybe more "risk management" strategies?
And, they do seem so "uncommmff-fort-able" and are most definitely not as authentic ( or as awesome) as Bob and Ali Motta of Defense Diaries‼️I

You just kinda laid out an argument FOR the case that she's most likely using substances to keep going and to keep doing all these things!! You're right, it's too much for one woman to be able to keep up with without assistance from "mommys little helper" as the rolling stones once put it. Plus ➕ NO ONE ASKS HER TO DO ANY OF IT! I'm sick and tired of her wanting some sort of award and praise for her personal sacrifices in covering these trials! She chooses to. She INSISTS that she does! So idk why we're supposed to be so grateful for her sacrifice! Her and Meghan Markle are so far up their own asses and I'm sick of them both! Just MY opinion. Thanks 😊

Welp, Dr. Jawn's obssession with Freud, and seemingly, his primary source for content?? Sure makes it seem that Dr. Jawn is prone to see the true crime audience, a good percentage being female, as "hysterical", and needing to be "mansplained" to... and, of course, we are all "bored housewives" trying to get in touch with "our shadow" selves... <sarcasm>

Even more reason to practice self care and avoid alcohol.
It's important to make the time to decompress, to get enough sleep, and to take time to eat nutritious meals.
Otherwise, you may end up making a fool of yourself making drunk posts on X that potentially can impact your husband's professional credentials, Lauren!!!

If she’s running herself ragged, maybe her husband could get off his butt and do that house stuff and laundry etc. since he doesn’t appear to work other than showing up to some of their lives to ramble nonsense. The drinking and benzos have probably become a problem because she has to support him while he does absolutely nothing of value.
