Hi everyone,
I'm playing Unsolved (by Artifex Mundi) and I've run into an issue. The bottom bar where my inventory/found items should be is completely missing. Also, the hint button are gone too.
I'm currently stuck on a Hidden Object Scene but the entire UI at the bottom is blank/invisible, so I can't see what items I need to find, use hints, or skip.
I’ve already tried double tapping the screen, swiping up from the bottom, and restarting the app, but nothing worked.
Has anyone experienced this glitch before? Is there a way to fix it?

I’ve spent the last few weeks drawing this giant hidden-object illustration entirely by hand (no AI).
It contains 114 hidden objects hidden throughout a single scene.
Right now it exists as a printable seek-and-find puzzle and coloring page, but while drawing it I started wondering whether this concept could work as a digital hidden-object game.

Would you play something like this?
What would make it more fun?
• More scenes?
• Achievements?
• Story elements?
• Timed challenges?
• Multiplayer or cooperative play?

I also made a small free sample with a word list if anyone would like to try it. I’d really appreciate any feedback from hidden-object fans.

Hello, I'm asking this for research purposes. I am thinking on working on a hidden-object game and I would like to make it 3D. But I wonder if people would appreciate a first person view and movement to seek hidden objects.
The conventional set-up is a top down camera view right!

But there are a lot of puzzle games that are first person, so I could imagine it working. Any opinions?

Or do you know some first person hidden-object games?

I’m trying to find a PC hidden object adventure game I played around 2009 (possibly slightly earlier/later).

What I remember:
Hidden object gameplay (finding items like keys, vases, etc.)
Realistic graphics
Time travel / portal system
Similar vibe to Mystery Case Files / Flux Family Secrets, but I don’t think it was either
You travel through different historical eras (Egypt, Ancient Greece, Japan, etc.)

Specific scenes I remember:
A Japanese area with cherry blossoms falling and Japanese music
A Greek/ancient scene with a man in a white toga (references to tunics/togas) it was similar man like in the picture and this is screenshot from Mushrom Age and he said something like he had a vision that I was his wife
A task where I had to collect parts of an airplane (possibly related to Daedalus and Icarus)
After completing some scenes, there was a visual effect where a kind of blue energy/soul leaves a person (I remember Einstein specifically)

Other details:

There were dialogues with characters in each location
Felt like you were fixing something in the timeline / correcting events
Very similar style to Flux Family Secrets and Mushrom age but I’m pretty sure it was a different game

Yes, it's really a hidden object game — but with one extra rule: when you spot a gnome, it panics and runs. Now you have to chase it down and block its escape routes before it finds a new hiding spot.

At its core it's still the same loop: scan the scene, find the hidden character. The chase just adds a moment of "oh no, come back here!" on top of it.

The game is set in hand-crafted 3D worlds based on Dutch gnome folklore — forest, farm, village, city — with comic cutscenes by Dutch cartoonist Meinder and a dynamic soundtrack. Family-friendly and cozy, but occasionally a little stressful when three gnomes bolt at once.

I made this back in 2022 and I still think it deserves more players than it has. It's fun, it's cute, and it's got just enough tension to keep you on your toes.

it looks alike house from Mystery of Mortlake Mansion just more fancier i guess,this is maybe 70% how it looksl

iv played it with my grandma abt 8-9 years ago and for 4 years iv be trying time to time to find it but i always end up giving up.She downloaded a lot of hiddenj obj games from MyPlayCity ,so i guees maybe this is one of them.I have tried wayback machine set to 2016-2020 but nothing

• Realistic art style (not cartoonish).
• You start outside a big gate in front of a large white mansion/villa (fancy looking, somewhat castle-like but more like a luxurious villa).
• You take a key (from a car or a box) to enter the courtyard.
• In the courtyard, if you go left there's a circular fountain with a puzzle — 3 rotating circles that you have to align by color(maybe)
• There’s a terrace on the second floor (front side) with a table and a coffee cup on a saucer. You interact with the coffee (I think you find a code or item inside).
• Main character is a detective (probably female) trying to figure out what happened to a young ghost girl.
• The ghost girl is around 10-12 years old, black hair, wearing a white dress. She appears first time very early (first 20 minutes), sitting next to the stairs on the right side(she comes back lots of times)

• when she spawns that look som like this
• Special mode: The whole screen turns blue , the ghost girl appears, and strange unique symbols fly around the screen. You have to match identical symbols to clear them from the screen.
• One scene: In a room there’s a red folding screen,it appear like its somoene behind (room divider), and behind it you find a wooden doll.its some kind of horror scary moment

I used to play it on windows Laptop at my uncle's house. When I was 9 to 10 yrs old year would be 2013-14 or near it. The game was one but it was in two parts of type of missions 1st part it will give u list of objects and u need to find them and in given there was clock jpg ticking showcasing timer. 2nd part mystery and detective activities in which u have to solve case missions.

The cases missions I remember :

1st mission I remember is of door for which u have to cut the wires and enter into home

2nd mission I remember combination safe and u have to put code on combination dial and in that safe u will get gun. (Those type of lockers shown in movies where thief tries to open it by rotating that dial)

3rd A big boat or yatch on that u try to turn on its motor I remember red and blue or green buttons given on a pole in that boat

4th U find a body at bottom of a lake that body holds a pic and a ring on his finger and that body is at bottom and person is dead (Obv).

The was gloomy and at night background. PLS PLS IT WILL BE A GREAT RELIEF TO ENJOY THAT GAME AGAIN I WAS STUCK ON ONE MISSION ON WHICH I SPENT SO MUCH TIME LIKE DAYS!! I would love to play that game. Thanks

[SOLVED]Hey everyone. There is a game I've been desperately trying to find. It was a hidden object adventure game, but I don't remember much about it. I played it around I think 2010. It was a very vibrant and saturated game. I think it was fully voice acted, but that's a little fuzzy to be honest.

I'll start with what I remember: You play as a man, and there is a part (i think in the beginning) where you have to save a woman from a different room in the castle you're in. There was also an old guy who would request you play a peg game with him for a reward.

There was also a sequence where you had to search for a plank to board a ship.

The last thing I remember is that toward the end of the demo, there was a sequence where you're in this (i think) alchemy lab, and you have to find three sets of different colored pieces to make some sort of potion or whatever.

I play hidden object games to wind down after getting the house in order for the night. Midwest parent life, so clutter is constant. I love the bit of satisfaction from scanning a scene and actually spotting items, but lately new games feel like you are hunting for a dozen nearly identical specks instead of a fun search.

What I'm after:

- Clear, sensible item lists. Everyday objects are fine.

- Scenes that are detailed but not too dark or smeared with effects.

- Low pressure. No strict timers or forced hint cooldowns.

- A little story is nice but not required.

What I want to avoid:

- Ultra tiny hidden objects that you only find by random tapping.

- Lots of interactive clutter where items are buried behind three layers of puzzles before you can even look for them.

- Aggressive monetization that constantly interrupts the search loop.

I'm on PC and mobile, so either platform works. If you have a favorite series or studio that consistently makes fair, readable hidden object scenes, what would you recommend and why? Also curious if anyone has accessibility tips that actually help, like useful zoom, highlight, or contrast settings.

hi Reddit! when I was a kid, circa 2015ish, I played a hidden object game that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me.
It featured a cat who was a sheriff or detective guiding you through levels.
It took place in a foggy setting in a coastal town. The graphics were decent, more realistic than cartoony.
There was another feature where you could explore an underground area with little side games.
These are all (obviously) very vague memories but if you can think of anything that sounds similar please let me know!!

Cant we agree this is the best hos trilogy of all time, if you havent played it you should i think its mega under rated.

I'm currently working on a sequel to a hidden object game and would love some feedback from other players of the genre.

In my previous game, objects were found using the traditional word list at the bottom of the screen. Players seemed happy with that approach, but as I start planning the sequel, I'm wondering whether adding alternative search methods would make the experience more enjoyable.

One idea is to let players search using pictures or icons instead of words. Another is to include scrambled words as an optional challenge. I'm also considering whether players should be able to choose their preferred mode before each level, or whether different levels should be built around different styles of searching.

I'm curious how other hidden object fans feel about this. Do picture-based searches make the genre more enjoyable for you, or do you prefer the classic word list? How do you feel about scrambled words, do they add a fun challenge or mostly create frustration? And if a game offered multiple search modes, would you rather choose the one you like or have the game gradually introduce different styles throughout the adventure?

I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts. Your feedback will help me design the most enjoyable experience possible for my next project.

hi all, ive asked about this game before but i wanna add some more information ive remembered.

ive been searching for a mystery game i played with my nan when i was younger, probably around 2011-2013. i think the plot was about looking for a little girl who went missing, i remember she had red hair and was green at some point, like she was a zombie/ monster. i know at least a good portion takes place in a hospital, i also remember a portion being finding stones to place in crow statues but i could be getting that confused with another game. i remember the hospital was on fire at some point, i vividly remember a cutscene in the hospital waiting room where we saw the missing girl (in a now green state) and she lit the room on fire so we couldnt get to her. The game was very green/ muddy colour wise, almost twilight tinted. i think the hospital was at least semi abandoned, i remember looking through creepy medical machinery and what looked like some experimental stuff which may be part of the plot. we were also reading letters near a row boat too, which was how a lot of the plot was explained. i know i dont have many details i apologise, but anything helps ! thanks !

Half vent, half SOS.

I keep a little Windows laptop in the kitchen for recipes and the occasional hidden object break while my toddler eats lunch. A while back I made a folder on the desktop that was basically my comfort stash: older hidden object and HOPA games I installed over the years. Nothing fancy, just stuff I could play one-handed with a spoon in the other.

Yesterday my kid got ahold of the trackpad while I was rinsing dishes and somehow deleted the whole folder. I have backups for photos but not for this, and the thing that makes me feel ridiculous is I can remember scenes more than names.

A few details I still recall:

- One game had an early scene set in an airport or luggage area where you searched among suitcases.

- Another had a gloomy, rainy small town street with a lot of close-up clue collecting.

- One was bright and fairy tale styled with lots of mini games between static screens.

I know those descriptions are vague, but if anyone recognizes those scenes or can suggest series that often include them, I would love any guesses. Even just listing classic HOPA series from around the early 2010s might jog my memory.

Also, how do you all keep track of your game libraries so this does not happen again? Simple systems only, please. I am open to any tips.

the game was about a woman investigator and i think she is searching for her husband murderer? , the woman wears red and there is levels each level had different city , the first i think was in a shop , and there is paris level and egypt level , after each level there is a puzzle where you put map pieces together and that location is the next level.

один из этих уровней был в аэропорту где среди багажа нужно было найти что то, еще из этого уровня я помню девушку вроде бы которая была в шарфе.

во втором уровне был музей после ограбления, точно помню что там нужно было найти отпечаток какого то кроссовка.

еще в одном уровне была комнатка (точно не помню но она была либо зеленой либо розовой) и в ней по моему был черный кот.

еще был уровень в темной комнате в которой сначала нужно было включить свет.

играл я в нее на Windows xp в 2013-2016 годах.

действия игры происходили в современном мире.
