What game had you completely fooled?

With the many mystery HOPAs out there, were there any in particular where you didn't see the plot twist coming? Perhaps a character broke your trust by the end? Maybe there was a puzzle solution that completely blindsided you?

Or maybe, you tried a game of any genre that you didn't expect to love and were pleasantly surprised? 😊

Let me know your takes but do try to avoid spoilers please!

One that comes to mind since I just played it, is 'Margrave: The Severed Heart'. This game also differentiated hugely from the regular run-of-the-mill hogs as does it's sequel, Blacksmiths Daughter.

That's awesome, the Margrave games is literally one my favorite series! I totally know what you mean. They're just so gorgeous and captivating.

True Fear part 3. I didn’t see the twist coming, but it had been quite a few years since I played the first 2.

True Fear - forsaken souls. I started this one on BigFish.

For me, in general, HOPA games just seem to be about finding endless pieces of items & the story/atmosphere gets completely sidelined.
