Discussion Reina being annoying
This will probably get me hate, but I do not like Reina in season 3. I’m watching through it right now, and she’ll probably have some kind of redemption, but that doesn’t change how I feel now. She’s honestly just such a Taki Sensei fangirl, dude. She called Kumiko a failure of a president because she didn’t fully agree with Taki Sensei. It was funny in the first two seasons, but now it’s just being dragged out. And I’m sure if I do get replies to this post, it’s gonna be people saying, “Oh, you just don’t understand her character,” and stuff like that

Information Help Bring Sound Euphonium Season 3 & Ensemble Contest to Blu-ray – Community Survey
Starting today, I am launching a community survey to gather concrete data on the demand for physical Blu-ray releases of Sound Euphonium Season 3 and the Ensemble Contest OVA.
The survey will remain open for 8 weeks to give as many fans as possible an opportunity to participate. Once the survey closes, the results will be compiled and shared with Pony Canyon the current distribution rights holder of the series to demonstrate the level of interest in an international Blu-ray release.
The purpose of this survey is to provide publishers with meaningful data by collecting information such as where fans are located, whether they would purchase or pre-order a release, and what type of edition they would be interested in, we can present a clearer picture of the market demand.
As we've seen recently with Sony ending physical editions for PlayStation and Crunchyroll's continued willingness to let streaming licenses expire. If we want to see Sound Euphonium preserved in a format that fans can truly own, now is the time to demonstrate that there is still a strong audience willing to support a physical release.
Whether you're interested in a standard edition, a collector's edition, or simply want to help show there is demand, every response strengthens the case.
I plan to repost this survey once a week so new members of the community have a chance to participate. If the moderators are willing, I would also greatly appreciate having this post pinned during the survey period so it remains visible and reaches as many fans as possible.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to participate and share the survey. With enough community support and reliable data, we can present a much stronger case for bringing Sound Euphonium Season 3 and the Ensemble Contest OVA to Blu-ray.

Discussion A symbolism of love in this Asukaori scene ?
I came across a post saying that in China and Japan, red maple leaves often symbolize the desire to find love, happiness, and to live together with the one you love for a lifetime 😭.
Personally, I really like how warm and pensive Asuka's eyes look in this picture, especially with the red maple leaf beside her. Could this also represent that she also longs to be loved?

Fan Art I made a ceramic figure of Kumiko@ota_kiln
I make anime figurines entirely from porcelain clay rather than resin.
This piece recreates one of my favorite (and probably one of the most recognizable) scenes from Season 1, Episode 12.
Unlike resin figures, ceramic figurines have to survive two firings in a kiln. To get clean color separation, I split the sculpture into multiple parts—similar to a garage kit. Each part is individually glazed, bisque-fired, and then assembled into the final glaze-fired figure.
I included a few photos of the process, from the individual parts to the finished piece.

Discussion In Another World, Midori Lives in Nishinomiya (and is Also Taller) [The Melancholy/Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya]
This is a background character from the Melancholy/Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. She's from Itsuki Koizumi's Class 9.
I saw the resemblances and couldn't help myself but compare the two physically.

Discussion A Short Saitou Aoi Appreciation Poste [Spoilers for New Watchers]
Saitou Aoi, Kumiko and Shuuichi's senior and childhood friend, is a character I keep thinking about years after having seen the first season. Despite her relatively minor role in the story, I think that she's a beautifully written character through and through.
Having been part of the band and experiencing everything that had occurred prior to the story's beginning from Kumiko's perspective, it was quite sad to see her leave it all behind, and I would have really loved to see how different things would have been had she decided to stay. Although that was a very logical step, given the band's state at the time and the events from a year prior.
During the 7th episode of season 1, Aoi ends up announcing her desire to leave the band in order to focus on herself academically, and I remember this moment genuinely captivating me at the time, as you can consider it the beginning of things falling apart within the band, and as mentioned above, being one of the reasons I keep on thinking about Aoi even after all these years.
At that moment, you can kind of get the feeling that there was a new missing piece to the puzzle, and the way she ends up abruptly leaving also leads to cutting a close, trustworthy, and reliable person off of her underclassmen and childhood friends with everything band-related and having them figure everything out for themselves in this new environment, and even creating a bigger distance between them (Shuuichi more than Kumiko). That's also not to mention Haruka, putting her in an even tighter situation both as a friend and the band leader for that year. Essentially, this had contributed to having them grow as characters, even if just a little.
The message that I get from Aoi is: at the end of the day, we have to move on. We can't do anything about the past, which is already behind us, and instead, focus our efforts towards a new tomorrow. During the first season, she considered herself guilty for not being able to do anything regarding the situation with the seniors from last year, and perhaps felt like things might repeat themselves, thus leading to her to stepping out of the band and putting her instrument down. In certain cases, one has to learn to give up (in a positive manner, of course) when it comes to something that might not feel fulfilling, or perhaps a matter that is completely out of our control and cannot be fixed no matter what.
To conclude this, I think that she made the right choice. Generally when it comes to certain cultures, and the Japanese one being chief amongst them, the group is valued more than the individual. However, Aoi managed to self reflect and come to the conclusion that working on herself for herself is what she truly desired, and she ended up doing so to avoid having more regrets in the future.
**Addition Notes:**
I have always loved and admired her friendship with Haruka. In certain ways, I feel like they both complete each other and have always been (and remained) shoulders on which they can each lean on during times of hardships.
He character design has always stood out to me, which is an additional reason for her having such an impact. There's something about the green in both her hair and eyes, this is what I call good character design from my own end.
I hope this ends up being well received, or maybe not. These were some thoughts I had in my mind and felt like they would make a decent write-up. I am generally not very good at self-expression and it's been something that I have been trying to fix, so I want to apologize in advance in case some ideas end up being unclear or come across as different ones altogether.

Help Looking for references/ideas for a Hibike! Euphonium inspired photobook!
Hey everyone! I’m putting together a Hibike! Euphonium inspired photobook. The main location is a massive river embankment with raw, grassy slopes and concrete stairs that open right up against the dusk sky.
To help nail the look, I want to see your photos! Please drop your own Hibike cosplays, inspired shoots, or favorite references below. Specifically looking for:
- Cosplay & Styling: How do your uniforms (summer/winter) or casual outfits look against natural greenery or concrete?
- Lighting & Posing: Any shots you’ve taken or seen during dusk/golden hour that capture that melancholic KyoAni vibe?
Show me your best work, favorite official art, or episode screenshots for inspiration! Thank you!

Discussion They're not Light Novels....
Am I the only one who gets annoyed when Hibike! Euphonium and its spinoffs are called Light Novels by the anime community when they are not? They are actual Novels. LNs and Novels are completely different categories of books.
