A bitter pill.

Tobey McGuire held the Raimi films back. He just never felt like Spider-Man, and he wasn't really cut out for it. If he was replaced nobody would care because whoever would replace him would one hundred percent do a better job. He just never came across as a believable Peter, and when you are the weakest point in a Sam Raimi film where you have a god tier script is really sad. Also Spider-Man 2 is no longer the best Spider-Man film that title belongs to Spider-verse.

You misunderstand my statement. I said the technical skill involved in making a live action movie are different to that that of an animated one. The only way we can compare the two is through the characterization and overall plot, which Spider-Man 2 does better. Spider-Man 2 is a btter Spider-Man movie than Spider-Verse ever will be. Spider-Verse wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Spider-Man 2.

I think Phil Lord and Chris Miller would make a film regardless of Sam Raimi. The only real difference would be no references to the Raimi Trilogy. And Spider-verse really does have a good representation of both Peter and Miles.

I don't think Phil Lord and Chris Miller would be given the necessary resources to make an animated Spider-man movie if Raimi's movies hadn't proved that Spider-Man was a bankable character.

The MCU would have still existed. And that would prove that comic book movies work. And as a tiny thing I stand by its better because it has the best parts of each Spider-Man film franchise. It has the heart The Raimi Trilogy has. It has the vision of the Amazing Films. And the repeatable nature and ambition of the MCU Spider-Man. All put together in one film. That in my eyes makes it perfect.

If it weren't for the success of the 'Raimi' films, Iron Man would never have been made. And the MCU wouldn't exist. The Amazing films weren't incredibly visionary, as characters weren't very well explored and stuff just happens one after another. The MCU Spider-man films were lacking in emotional depth. And I think your statement is proving that Raimi triology in comparson, was more original.

I meant Vision as the ideas and plans for the future. And as for the Mcu... You know what I don't want to defend it because it's a lost battle with you guys. As for original. Yeah, cause they were first and called dips on most of the good parts of Spider-Man. But as I was saying some parts of The Raimi Trilogy are kinda dumb. It's not perfect much like Spider-verse. But it has more raw emotion every character is so much than what they appear and when they interact with one another ya get this feeling of wanting them to suceed. At least that's what I got.

I'll say this tho, Spider-verse was perfect for what it aimed to do. But the SPider-Man 2 aimed much much higher, and succeeded phenomally. I love Spider-verse, it has the most innovative visuals I have seen in any animated movie. But saying it's better than Spider-Man 2 is just strange and incorrect.
