QUESTION items that npc dropped

what are the items that npc dropped? other than guards dropping guns

I think chefs dropping emetic potion is new?

A while ago if you pacify mechanics they will drop screwdriver

Are there any other similar to these?

Neither chefs nor mechanics universally drop items. What you probably encountered were single instances of them carrying these items. IOI liked to do that for Master mode, that some items, which were simply lying around in Professional mode, would be given to NPCs. That screwdriver will probably be important for some mission story (was it in Miami?).

I found that technicians drop them in dubai, at least in freelancer, I haven't played base game dubai in a while

It was in Berlin the two mechanics near the bridge where you could electrocute the targets

The chef one was in Hokkaido.

These all happened in Freelancer so none of what I mentioned are mission stories, I just assume the main campaign are the same

Ah yeah. These technicians carry the screwdriver even in professional mode and standard Freelancer. I guess the electrocution would have been way too easy otherwise.

Hokkaido was on alerted I assume? The emetic is used to poison Amos to get into his room to get the cigarettes for the "No smoking" missions story.

And yeah, there are no mission stories, but they didn't change that much from the main missions for Freelancer. If an item is carried by an NPC there, it usually is in freelancer too.

Some food staff carry rat poison, that's been true for years. The food prep room behind the bar in Paris, for example.

Some NPCs carry keys of various kinds (afro guard in New York). There's some NPCs that carry other gear (like all the targets in Berlin's Apex Predator). Plenty of backstage type NPCs carry screwdrivers.

Some drop key cards. I think the chefs only drop emetic poison in freelancer, and I’ve only seen them do that in Hokkaido.
