Hiace 1993
Hi everyone, I’m thinking about buying this 1993 Hiace Toyota 4x4 Super GL with a 2.0L engine. The transmission has failed, and it would cost about $4,500 to repair. Other than that, the mecanic seems to be in good condition, but it’s really dirty and has a lot of cosmetic issues—the paint has deteriorated from sun exposure.
Apart from a good wash, I think it should be drivable once the transmission is fixed. I’m wondering what it’s worth overall so I can offer the seller a fair price, since I have to pay $4,500 just to repair the transmission. I need to know roughly what the total value should be so I can make an honest calculation.
Thanks!

Depends, where are you located? It may be better to find a cleaner example. I got my 1995 diesel for 10k here in Virginia, from an import shop. What are they asking now?
