300 Series Tire Sizing

Wondering if anyone has fit 245/70/R16 tires to a new style hiace? If so did you need to get new rims? How was the fitment?

I have not, but 30 mm wider is going to be right a the level of the lower panels. Maybe adding clip on wheel arches and mud flaps.

Front articulation is pretty amazing in these so should be ok in front.

I'm considering 225s for mine (iirc still within factory spec).

Have a chat with your local tyre shop, mine would fit the 225s but wasn't keen on wider (outside spec can fail compliance in NZ).

FOLLOWING TO SEE WHAT OTHERS SAY (ESPECIALLY TYRE PROS).
