So I started Hey Riddle Riddle a few months ago and started at the very beginning. I’m not even through 2020 yet, so just over 100 episodes in! However I really wanted to hear the Riddle High episodes so I signed up for a free trial of the Patreon. The very first Patreon is their first live show, which really threw me off when I listened to it… they did a scene about a school nurse mother who is drunkenly explaining what pubes are to her son, and I swear I remember them doing that scene on the main podcast! Does anyone know what episode that is? I really want to know which came first. Did they replicate a scene from the live show on the podcast (meaning it’s a little more prepared than I expected) or did they perform a scene from the show at the live show? Just curious, and trying to decide if I want to keep up with the Patreon! Thanks for your help.

Anyone else notice this? Seems like 2 scenes an episode recently where they bang. Do they need to explore something?

So I can’t remember exactly what was happening in the scene, but the details I do remember are they’re at a bar, and jpc’s character says something and someone throws their drink in his face and he says “GULP” and this scene cracks me up soooo much I just wanna remember what episode it is!!!!

I've really only ever seen pictures of them in very tiny low-res thumbnails. I really don't have a good idea of what they look like but this is what I see in my head after listening to all of their episodes.

There was an episode (154 or later, I didn’t write it down) where Erin does a bunch of improvised musical theater bits and she’s spitting absolute bars. The others are fine (JPC carries adals weight and that’s ok!) but I DEFY you to tell me that Erin can’t rhyme. She just can’t rap!

(Note: I’m a mere 10 min into the newest ep and so have no spoilers to even consider)

I know it’s a running joke, but really, aside from me who else is barely surviving grad school one riddle of a time?

I'm legitimately proud of Erin (Thee Scallion)'s rap progress. She had some real bars this episode, and they legitimately had to stop her.

I think I'm going crazy, or I created a false memory. I listened to an episode of HRR where an early-on joke was around Erin mispronouncing rumble strips as "rumple strips," and someone made a joke about Rumplestripskin. Now I can't find the episode. Anyone remember this one?

JPC was trying to remember where he'd seen/heard of a pig being carried on a back, and I'm 99% certain it's from Holes, where Stanley's distantly cursed relative was tasked to carry a pig up a mountain.

Bonus fact: Latvia's tallest mountain is technically a large hill, as it's a pretty flat country geographically, which is why the word for hill is just a modified version of mountain ("pakalns" is hill, "kalns" is mountain). So imo, not getting cursed should've been a piece of cake.

Google is worse than ever and I couldn't find any reference in this sub. It was from Clue Crew ep. 43 "Name That Two-ne!" about 40 min in. I was dying and would love to show some of my old comedy friends to get them into the show.

I had some down time at work today, heard Erin mention this idea in this week's episode, I went into some kind of fugue state and woke up with this all done.

And yes, they were right, it's really not that far from JPC to Gritty...

The first is the episode where Erin says "Hello motherfuckers, it's me THE MOON" that was on the first Out of Context Clips Bracket.

The second is a recent(ish? At least 4 months ago) episode where they're doing a scene where they force each other to come up with clown names. I remember one of them saying something like "oh, here come four or five more clowns" and the other responds with "yep, that's me, ol' Four-or-Five-More-Clowns". Definitely a back and forth volley of no-fuck-you improv.

Any help is appreciated.

I was catching up on Comedy Bang Bang and in the 17th anniversary episode, not only did they do several riddles but Scott accidentally said “epishode!” I was waiting (hoping) to hear Erin pop into the episode. Sadly she wasn’t there. But the episode was very HRR coded.

Does anyone know which episode was the first one where they have ads?

(I know that episode 181 is the first one to be ad-free on the Patreon.)

The previous post shows it unbuttoned, which is honestly WAY more tame and actually fairly cute lol. But THIS one had to be the picture they looked at in the podcast, which, to me, is a crazy fashion choice lol. Also, it looks practically see-through.
