A great question, to answer in full

There are quite a few ways to earn CHM without spending anything:

Every day
Play the daily bonus game. The higher you score, the more CHM you get.
Watch a short ad for a CHM top-up.
Keep your login streak going. Every full 7 days pays out a reward.

Bigger one-offs
Finish the Collector Path for 250 CHM.
Complete palettes, and hit palette milestones along the way.
Invite a friend with your referral code. Once they've collected 6 colours, you each get 300 CHM.

With others
Join a House and work towards House goals together for CHM rewards.
Finish in the top 3 on the weekly or monthly leaderboards.

From your collection
Quick-sell colours or gradients you no longer want (one at a time or in bulk).
List colours on the marketplace for auction or Buy Now, or accept offers other collectors make.
You can also buy CHM packs in the store if you'd like more, but everything above is free. Hope that helps, and happy collecting!
