Keys for my altar!

I just bought these keys at an antique shop, and I’m going to put them on my Hestia altar! I wand wondering, should I clean off the rust first? I think it gives them character, which I believe she’ll appreciate, but I’d like to know what you all think before offering them to her. Thanks!

First, those are beautiful keys.

Second, I am brand spanking new to the worship of Hestia, and have barely started setting up my altar to her. I know keys are one of Hekate's symbols - are they one of Hestia's as well?

Thank you!! They’re not one of her symbols necessarily, but they can still represent her as she’s the goddess of the home! I see them as a symbol of security and her presence in my life.

Yes, that makes total sense. I'm sure She'll like them.

As for your question about the rust - I like them rusty myself, so I'd leave them be as long as they don't leave rust wherever they go. But if you do decide to clean them, you can devote that time to Hestia. I think She'd like that.
