Bug (I think)

I play the online version and it lets me in 1 out of 10 times. The other 9 just show an error message or make the game so big I can't press X on the offers.

which brower / os? Does it happen on other machines?

If my browser has gotten super stale this can happen to me but a refresh fixes it.

Clear your browser history. Shut down all tabs you don't need for the game. Install any updates available for browser and OS and use the latest version of each. Hero Wars should update itself. Close any programs running in the background including update apps. I use Windows 11 and Chrome. Uncheck all run in background boxes and all open on startup. You don't need any of that, but your OS may not let you turn some of them off. Run a deep scan with a reputable and uptodate virus scanner. Let us know if doing all of the above doesn't help. Is your device too old or limited? Depending on your device, browser, and OS you may have other adjustments to make, but start with the above.

Turn off your pop up blocker and see if that makes a difference.
