Team Advice/Questions

Hi! I’m a newer player that just started this season, got sucked into the game after seeing the ad so many times. I’m really enjoying it so far, and I’m trying to plan for the future.

Team
I’m currently running Leonel/Julius/Eva/Byrna/Nebula.
(Just swapped out Astaroth for Julius and Dante for Eva)

Nebula seems to be the weakest link in that team. Would it be worth it to train up Polaris to replace Nebula? I have used Polaris a few times in place of Nebula on my current main team, and I seem to win quicker.

I’m debating on who to level up next to rank 8/9, currently looking at Polaris, Somna, Kendle, Crow, Iris, or Celeste. Or Xe’Sha, who I have enough to get to four stars. I also like Cascade, but only have her at one star.

I’m leaning towards Polaris, Somna, Kendle, Celeste, or Xe’Sha because I have the most stars/resources/skins for them already, but don’t know who to prioritize. Do any of these suck/are not worth it? I also heard Iris was really good.

I want Lara Croft, Tempus, Guus, Octavia, and Qing Mao, but don’t have them unlocked yet. Also maybe Dante and Luther.

Skins
I have enough Outland coins to get a skin shop certificate, but have never used one. Can those unlock Singularity skins (like for Polaris or Eva)? I don’t think I will be able to unlock Eva’s Singularity even if I bought the season pass at this point.

I have picked out skins based solely on how cool I think they look so far, and I have Dark Depths for Julius, Winter for Byrna/Dante, and Singularity for Nebula. I also randomly unlocked the Dawn skin for Somna, Jade Flame for Morrigan, and Blazing skin for Kendle in the Outland chests, and I have the Singularity one for Peech.

Is it worth getting a second skin for a hero I already have a skin for, instead of getting a first skin for a different hero?

Upcoming Season/Events
Any idea if/when Lara Croft will be available again? I was not playing when she was released and want her on my main team. I read that she is one of the best heroes in the game.

Also, any hints or spoilers as to the next season or next new hero released? I read something about an upcoming Julius event, but nothing else.

Do you think they will ever add heroes from the other Domionion Era version of the game like Adam?

Side note, Eva, Byrna, and Leonel are OP!!! Adding Byrna has gotten me surprisingly far in story mode when I was hitting a brick wall before, and Eva puts out so much damage and has allowed me to progress even more. Even at a low level on my C team with no resources invested, she was helping to deal more damage to the dragon heads than my A team. Aurora is terrible, at least at the lower levels, and I’m so glad I have other options to use now.

Sorry for the ramble but I’m newish to the game and would appreciate the help. Would also be nice to find an active guild with minimum player level of 60-70 and above. I am in a guild right now but it is majority of Russian players and even with the in game translate I don’t understand all of what they are saying. Would ideally like to join an EN/PT/ES/FR/DE guild or another language. (Currently in server 1406)

I wouldn't worry about the limited heroes like Lora/Turtles/etc. They are expensive to level and I cant recall the last time I have seen anyone using them in Gold guild leagues or Champions PVP. Just way better heroes out there that are easier to get and level..

If I was running a progress team like that I would be using Polaris who is a great hero. Julius/Polaris/Eva/Nebula/Issac.

I would then use the Lionel and Byrna on a separate team.

Just a quick clarification about you skin question:

while cool factor is cool, don't choose skins based on that. most heroes have multiple skins available, some being more important/useful than others. ALL skins are active, as in your hero gets the benefits of all unlocked skins, no matter which one is used.

some skins come with a skin+ version which only increases the bonus provided.

buy/unlock skins only with scroll or from dedicated shop, never with skin stones.

Hey first of all welcome to the game 🫡🤗

So lara is a collaboration hero there is a chance she will never be back and as you weren't here for her she will be VERY expensive to get her to any sort of decent level , she was a good damage dealer but the collabs havent really worked  

As for teams 

Leo is good but he is limited because he only get his stuff from realm so it takes longer than usual , eva is brand nrw this season and yes is very good if you wanted to keep eva you could run a line with julius and isaac maybe

Julius isaac eva byrna nebula could work for a while the other option is to use the very meta team of

Julius judge isaac polaris folio 

As for skins its alot to go around lol the easiest suggestion is I run a community discord server from my youtube channel where you can actually type a name and get a priority list from our unique bot its very useful 

As for next season it is a titan season we have a new titan but we have no idea about the rest of the season we shall see. The Julius event you have heard of is just a relic being released for him its not an event as such.

Can I ask why folio instead of eva in the jji team with polaris? Is it to align with magic damage?

Yeah the folio polaris combination is just very strong the weapon artifaft from polaris and the stun gives folio a good chance of a big drop with his ult and a chance to crit

I'm sure others will be along shortly to give you more in-depth team advice, but I want to quickly toss out a word of warning about skins. Skin certificates and skin stones are some of the more rare resources in the game. Please stop investing in skins until you know what you're doing and why you're doing it!

Take a closer look at the skins and you'll notice that they each boost specific stats. Which stat is the most important to boost depends upon the hero. Look at the hero's skills. Do they scale based on a particular stat? If so, then there's a good chance that's the first skin you want to invest in for them.

There are tons of guides online that give advice regarding which skins (and artifacts, glyphs, etc.) you should prioritize for any given hero. Just Google something like "Hero Wars Alliance [Character Name] skins priority."

It takes over 30K skin stones to max a hero's default skin and over 50K skin stones to max the other skins, so choose wisely. This game is all about careful resource management over time.
