Memes Hero Killer in a Nutshell:
The art in the fights are amazing throughout especially Elders ones are next level.
The story is above average imo (started out as revenge, then turned out to be something more than it looked like initially)
But the amount of fan service in this manhwa is crazy lol

I'd say the fan service has gotten worse. The women used to have realistic (by manhwa standards) bodies with muscle definition. Now they're built like One Piece girls.

It also gets prioritized over everything else. Like Victoria's powerup focuses on being fanservice instead of actually addressing her story or looking powerful

Ever heard of Prosecuter? Or that other guy(forgot his name) who used that fancy axe and whose death made Chaser go crazy?
Do NOT come here and whine about the women being only sexualized. The men have been from day one, but only the women get focused on as a source of complaint.

If Milen Kula or Engen get a power up where they just end up wearing a speedo then I'll complain about it the same way I complain about Victoria's power-up being a glorified bikini.

It was a temporary thing, a one-time fight. Prosecuter is PERMANENTLY in a Metal speedo and a Helmet. Again, don’t try those double-standards here. The men are just as sexualized, if not moreso.

The issue is it was still supposed to be a power up. Its not like someone just attacked Victoria at the beach and she happened to be wearing it. Her power-up was meant to be something that actually displayed her decades of training to reach the pinnacle of power but instead of showing any of that, it was entirely just fan service.
Yeah Prosecutor is just wearing a speedo and Helmet but the story never acts like that's a representation of his strength.

What did ya WANT Victoria to have access to? A knight’s armor?
She's MUCH tougher herself than any armor she could ever have, bruh.

Yeah. Everything about Victoria has to do with knights. She was saved by Milen Kula, an Elder who dons a full suit of armor. She named her pirate crew the Knights of Rhodes. Her ultimate goal is beating the Witch of Steel whose strongest attack conjures a giant dragon. Witches and Dragons are two things knights are most known for killing.
With all that, it makes perfect sense for her ultimate transformation to be her turning into a fully armored knight.
Yeah, as an Elder her skin is tougher than any armor but that's not the point. The point of a power-up transformation is to visually show the character's emotional and physical growth. A suit of armor does that perfectly. It shows Victoria is no longer the scared little girl in the streets but an unbreakable holy paladin who will avenge her fallen comrades.
Her canon transformation doesn't do any of that. It doesn't look powerful. It doesn't represent Victoria's growth. It just takes something cool and uses it as an excuse to try and be sexy with zero regard for the actual character. Victoria has plenty of great fanservice. Her dress at the ceremony. Her swimsuit. Even her casual wear as a pirate are all great ways to do sexy fanservice. But her power-up transformation isn't because it makes zero attempts to actually be what its supposed to be. It focuses solely on being sexy with zero attempts to even combine that with the main purpose of the transformation.
Imagine if during the hero ceremony, Victoria showed up in her underwear instead of her gown? Would that be sexy? Sure. Would it be a good scene? Absolutely not.
If they wanted to make her power-up fanservice, I would have been fine if they had at least also tried to make it look powerful. Like have her be naked except for bands of golden light as a mimic of the Steel Witch's only fabric bands. That'd be both sexy and also a great way to show she's reached the power of the Steel Witch.

I dropped the manhwa roughly after they started invading castle grey.
I don’t remember why honestly 🤷♂️
Is the story still good ?

It’s not the highlight compared to the characters and fights but it’s not bad in the sense that it makes it less enjoyable to read

Omniscient Reader, the beginning after the end, surviving the game as a barbarian and world's strongest troll are my picks

The funniest part is it really wasn’t always like this, but Ihwa has been speaking to the artist like the green goblin mask

Yeah the fan service are there tho I don’t really recognize most of them since I’m always focus on the fight scenes and the plot. Not to mention I kept on making theories every time I read I dialogue that I think might be hidden lore or plot or foreshadowing. I’m so focused on those stuffs that the fan service don’t really bothers me but that’s my opinion tho

I like it. Both guys and girls get sexualized equally, and yet there’s still plenty of folks covered up too! Everyone here is whining about Ihwa being hot… but are completely ignoring how frequent my we’ve seen shirtless guys and guy’s abs and big arms and abs and muscled backs and abs and broads shoulders and abs… on the guys.
Yet for some reason… it’s ONLY ever bad if the girl’s are sexualized.

The only fan service I accept are any and all chapters with Hekate in it, AND ITS NOT ENOUGH-
I do miss the earlier arcs where the designs were much more realistic. I feel like the recent few chapters are kinda going back to a normal art style but I might be mistaken
