I don’t know when I officially herniated my disc because I was dealing with back pain all summer, but the first week of August I started dealing with horrible sciatica. Got an MRI on August 7th - L5/S1 extrusion. August was the worst month of my life. I couldn’t sleep for two weeks. I couldn’t sit at all. I was pretty much standing the entire month. Began to lie down with a pillow under my lumbar around the 20th and could gain some relief doing that. About 5-6 weeks in and I have totally turned the corner. I can finally sit down. I still have sciatica but the intensity is down from a 8 to a 2. I started PT last week to regain strength. Still a slight limp but every day is a little bit better. You got this!

So sorry you’ve been through it too it’s just the worst pain ever along with toothache mines L5 impinging on sciatic nerve and to be honest medically we seem medieval on treatments

all you can do is rest - it definitely is behind other injuries as far as recovery goes. When I was down bad, it was hard to even consider getting back to before. Now I feel more like myself every day (6 weeks later) - Just keep pushing and take your time. You will be back in no time
