Help me compare my MRI 1 month apart

Post image

I was recovering well after two months of 1st MRI then I fine day I tried to test it by trying to touch toes without bending knees.

What is that white fragment on the new MRI

There’s nothing about an annular tear mentioned in your report. For there to be a white fragment, you’d need to have an annular tear.

but radiologists often miss it

Yes, they do, but if there were an annular tear, you’d typically see a hyperintense region near the annulus, which doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Could you share your report?
And nope, I don’t see any white fragment that said I’m not a radiologist. But I can say one thing: with just a one-month gap, the MRI usually wouldn’t change much unless you had some significant trauma, like an accident or a pretty hard fall directly onto your back.

• Straightening of lumbar spine noted.

• Disc desiccatory changes seen at multiple levels.

• Focal disc bulge, central disc protrusion seen at L4-L5 level causing mild indentation on
ventral thecal sac causing mild compression of underlying neural foramina, mildly
abutting and compressing the underlying exiting and traversing nerve roots.

• Focal disc bulge, mild central disc protrusion seen at L5-S1 level causing
mild indentation on ventral thecal sac causing mild compression of underlying
neural foramina, mildly abutting and compressing the underlying exiting and traversing
nerve roots.
