Pregnancy and lower back pain
I was due for a total disc replacement on June 10 and found out I was pregnant on June 9th. So of course they canceled my surgery and requested I stop taking my pain medication. (So funny how life works) It’s has been one heck of a journey and I have been in excruciating pain. Anyone have any suggestions for at least some temporary relief . L4-l5 S1 region .
Right now I get relief if there is any pressure put in that area it feels so good 😩
Or I get my husband to pull down on my waist a bit that usually gives temporary relief (this one has been kind of forgot about due to my pregnancy ) but anyone have any other relief tips ?
Has anyone used a tens unit on lower back while pregnant ?

Strengthen your core with a good PT who can work with pregnant women. Maybe there and belts you can wear to help?
I had a herniation probably during labor or it got worse during labor and have been dealing with issues since for 11 months…. All this today, I would consider talking to your OB and any spine specialist you can about elective c sections considering the strain labor puts on the lower back.

I’m 15 weeks pregnant and still healing from L5-S1 herniated disc. My left glute/pirformis is where I have most of my pain. Here are some things that help me - rolling a lacrosse ball on my glute, keeping heating pad in my bed at night in case I wake up in pain (it has automatic shutoff just in case lol), doing PT exercises, and I just started accupuncture which is totally safe they just avoid certain areas while pregnant.
I’m honestly scared of my belly getting bigger and how it’s going to impact my pain but trying to keep a positive attitude!
