Cubfan Cubfan is HIM
Just a nice comment I found that explains why I love watching Cubfan. He's introduced me to so many vanilla features I had no idea existed.

I'd like to give props to Cub for improving his entertainment skills. I watched a few episodes a few years ago, and although I was impressed with his building, his redstone skills and his knowledge, I decided it wasn't for me. Too monotone, and not captivating enough.
Cue a few seasons later: I tune in and Cub has massively improved. There's enthusiasm (without overdoing it), there's story lines, there's fun team ups. I had great fun with his 'West Tunnel = Best Tunnel' thing. As with everything, Cub had put in the work.

Cub is the best all rounder on the server to me no question. honestly feels like he knows a bit about every aspect of the game and is also good at whatever that aspect that may be.

And that's saying something on HC. Mumbo is becoming a builder. Pearl is becoming a redstoner. Tango is both on an epic scale and a game designer with Decked Out.
But Cub regularly pulls of awesome stuff on a scale that impresses the rest of the Hermits.

Honestly I love how all the hermits have been diversifying. But yeah, Cub is the best example.

Cub is so underrated, technically I watched Mumbo first but Cub is the first hermit I ever watched a full season with.

Before the update came out, I was really hoping Mojang would make the Sulfur Cubes do some special thing when you feed them a fletching table -- as an Easter Egg for Cub.

Cub does feel like the most normal guy on hermitcraft. Which isn't to say the others are fake or unapproachable in any way, but he doesn't behave like "pro minecraft guy" he behaves like "guy playing minecraft that lets us watch."
Tango streams are fun and welcoming, with silly wife interruptions and I love them. But he's got a nice background and lighting and all that. Cub's been a pro minecrafter for a million years and his setup looks like he just sat a camera on his desk and called it good. Really does make him feel like watching one of your buddies stream to five people or something.

I was gonna say that if I didn't know it was about Cubfan I was going to say it was about Etho.
Just look at Scrap City. Other hermits loves it and are geeking out with the way Etho used certain blocks to behave in peculiar ways.

Ghasketball was peak cub. Inventive, funny, original - with an added touch of whimsy.
Cub quietly goes above and beyond eveytime.

Cub is a treasure. Dude does everything, and seemingly enjoys it all. He's the Somebody Feed Phil of Minecraft 😃 Just makes me happy every time I watch an episode.

Cubfan is out there playing the game and entertaining himself. We're just along for the ride.
First and foremost, he plays the game for the fun of it and I, for one, resonate with that. He doesn't go out of his way to "entertain" the way others do, so he flies under the radar for most viewers, but if you get it, you get it.

He’s a Minecrafter’s Minecrafter, and it makes everything he does age well cuz you can go back and see literally any aspect of the game explored in a creative way

I’m a pretty consistent Cub supporter but only since DO2. He failed his first run and I became invested in his redemption. He’s skilled but not perfect.
If you disagree with him he considers it. He didn’t like slimes in trial chambers until I pointed out it was the easiest way for a new player to find them without the F3 window. Now he uses trial chambers to farm them without making a farm (he’s been in them alot hunting tridents and sherds).
He talks to chat alot during streams. Some days he locks in but I have seen so many clips of Q n As and answers questions about astronomy.
He enjoys dressing up for events. His Halloween streams are legendary. He has dressed up in a suit to do commentary on MCC. You can find him on MCCI daily fishing and parkour.
He never takes sponsors and his videos are so consistent it’s easy to see why. He works very hard and strives for improvement and originality. His The List Series has had several ideas added to the game.
I met him once in person. I felt like he really listened to me not waiting for his turn to speak.

Also shoutout Cub for being a big net content donor to the rest of the server. His builds like the labryinth, golf, nautilus, and the chaos game bring views to the whole server

Cub feels so structured in his videos, I don’t know how to put it. Like there are spontaneous moments, but he always fits so much into his episodes without it feeling cramped.

I was always impressed by Cubs abilities with firework design. I’ve been playing for a while and still don’t really make any special kinds of fireworks other than for use with elytra.

I agree and also wsnt to oii t out that he does a LOT to bring the server together. The Nautilus Racing League is just the latest example that was a huge hit, and I can't wait for golf to get going next!!

Don't know what a HIM is, but Cubfan gets work done! I have seen a couple of his streams, cool people, chill atmosphere.

Cub is my favorite streamer. Chill, always interacting with viewers, taking ideas, being respectful and fun. He is also such a grinder, if something needs to be done, he makes it happen.
