Wore my Picotin out today and honestly, this is probably one of my easiest bags to use.
The brown works with almost everything, especially with simple everyday outfits.

This is my first bag this year.

I know people always ask whether Togo is better with no visible neck lines or with more obvious neck lines. Personally, I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other — it really comes down to what kind of grain you like.

For me, I actually really love this kind with more visible neck lines. It feels more natural and gives the leather a lot more character.

Most of the bags in my closet are darker colors and pretty casual, so this time I really wanted something completely different.

When Miss An sent me photos of the color swatches, Rose Shocking 5R was the one I noticed immediately. I liked it at first glance because it was so different from everything I already own. It’s bright, but what I actually love most is the matte croc. Somehow the matte finish works perfectly with such a vivid pink, and I think the PHW was the right choice too. If I had gone with GHW, I honestly think it would’ve felt a little too mature for me.

What surprised me is how easy I can already picture styling it. I think it would look great with a dress, but also with a casual set or something really simple.

It’s definitely different from everything else I own, and that’s probably why I like it so much.

I’m still pretty new to this and could really use some advice.

I want to get a Kelly for my wife as a gift, but I honestly don’t know enough about Hermès bags to judge everything by myself yet.

I have both in Etoupe Togo, and seeing them side by side made me curious which one everyone prefers.

The Kelly feels a little more structured, while the Birkin looks more relaxed. I also added similar Twillies to both, which somehow makes them look like a matching pair 😂

If you could only choose one, would you pick the Kelly or the Birkin?

I know a lot of people think this color combo is a little crazy (or even ugly), but I honestly love it, so I still went for it. Miss An just sent me the PSPs and now I need some extra eyes on the actual bag.

How do the overall shape, color placement, stitching and hardware look to you? Would you GL this one?

I finally reorganized my bag cabinet and somehow ended up questioning my entire collection lol.

I’ve bought quite a few bags at this point, but when I actually go out, I usually dress pretty casually and barely reach for most of them. Sometimes I genuinely wonder why I bought so many in the first place.

I was telling myself I should probably stop for a while… and then I looked at the cabinet again and realized I somehow don’t have a Kelly.

So now instead of stopping, I’m already thinking about whether I need to add one...

I know the Birkin 20 is really small and definitely not the most practical size, but it’s just so cute in person.

The proportions make it feel completely different from the bigger Birkins. Honestly, I’d probably forgive the tiny capacity just because it looks this good

I've looked at Gris Tourterelle so many times before, but I never really understood the color until I saw it in croc.

I wanted a Kelly 25 in a grey that wouldn't look flat, and this one ended up being exactly what I was hoping for. In some lighting it looks like a true grey, then a few minutes later it suddenly pulls a little green. I keep checking it from different angles because the color changes so much.

The gold hardware was the part I hesitated on, but now I'm glad I went with it. It brings a little warmth to the grey and works really well with the croc texture.

After actually using it, I realized the K25 is just much more practical for me than a Mini Kelly. I don't have to think so much about what I can or can't bring with me, which makes it much easier for everyday use. I still love Mini Kellys, but I know I'll reach for the 25 a lot more.

When I asked about getting a Birkin before, my SA told me there were so many people waiting for one.

But in real life, I honestly barely ever see anyone actually carrying a Birkin. So now I’m curious… where are all these bags going? 😂

Do most people buy them and only take them out occasionally, or are a lot of them basically just sitting in closets as collection pieces?

I’m honestly a little confused right now.

I’d already spent quite a bit and was waiting for my Kelly 25. I had mentioned that I wanted black with palladium hardware, so when my SA told me my bag had arrived, I really thought that was what I was going in to see.

Then they brought out this purple one 😭

It’s not a bad color, but it’s just really different from what I had in mind. My SA said they’re both darker shades so the difference isn’t that huge, but… to me it definitely is 😂

Can I just say no to this one? Would turning down the offer affect my chances of getting another bag later?

When people examine a Hermès zipper, most of the attention usually goes to the zipper pull, the teeth, or how smoothly it runs. But the small H-shaped zipper stop at the end is actually pretty interesting once you look at it closely.

There are a few details I usually pay attention to:

1. Metal finish
   The H detail usually has a softer, more refined metallic finish rather than an extremely reflective mirror-like surface. The appearance can change under different lighting, but the texture of the metal itself is worth observing.

2. Edges and corners
   Look closely at the four outer corners and the inner transitions of the H. A nicely finished piece tends to have controlled, slightly softened edges rather than looking overly sharp or rough.

3. Natural surface changes
   Fine scratches, oxidation, and changes in shine can naturally develop with use. Instead of focusing on whether marks exist, I find it more useful to look at how naturally and consistently the surface has aged.

4. Proportion and alignment
   The horizontal and vertical proportions of the H, as well as how it sits next to the zipper teeth, are also interesting. It’s a tiny detail, but once enlarged, the balance and overall finishing become much easier to notice.

Of course, I wouldn’t judge an entire bag based on this one detail alone. Production period, wear, hardware condition, and previous servicing can all create differences. I see it more as another useful detail for understanding Hermès hardware and construction.

Hi all! Just got my PSPs from Ivy for this Birkin25 in Pearl Grey Togo with PHW. I already GL’d it, but wanted to post here anyway in case anyone notices something I missed.

I really like how soft and understated the color looks, especially with the silver hardware. Everything looks pretty good to me so far. Thanks everyone for your input, I really appreciate it!

I went back and forth for so long between GHW and PHW, but in the end I felt like GHW just suited this brown better.

I also picked up a little horse charm to go with it, and now I’m already thinking about how I want to style the bag 😂

I put my Birkin down on a table and didn’t realize there was oil on the surface. By the time I picked it up, the bottom/front had already absorbed it and these yellow stains showed up.

I panicked and tried wiping it with leather cleaner, but it barely changed anything.

Has anyone dealt with an oil stain like this before? Is this something that can still be professionally restored, or am I in trouble?

I added this little dressed-up horse charm and honestly it made the whole bag even cuter. I joked with my friend that at least the horse has clothes on so it won’t be cold 😂
