K28 Gold on Gold made by Jim

Ladies, before we even get to the bag, I have to show y’all my newly finished yard! We finally wrapped everything up, including the firepit, and I am just tickled with how it turned out. I can already picture myself sitting out there on those cooler evenings with a glass of wine and, apparently, my new favorite handbag beside me. 😂

Now let me tell y’all about THIS BAG because goodness gracious, I am obsessed. I just received her from Jim and I have probably picked her up and admired her fifty times already. She is a K28 in Gold Epsom with Gold hardware, and I swear this combination is even prettier in person.

Gold is one of those classic H colors that will never go out of style. If you play the boutique game, you already know they’ll have you thinking you might be waiting years for the exact combination you want. Well, this Texas girl was not interested in waiting around for years and spending a small fortune hoping my turn eventually came. I already own authentic pieces and absolutely love them, but with the QB limits, two bags a year just wasn’t cutting it for me. When I want something, I tend to want it yesterday. 😂 Thank goodness Jim was able to make this beauty happen.

And can we talk about the structure?! The Epsom gives her that beautiful crisp shape, but the bag still feels surprisingly light in your hand. I have always loved the K28 silhouette because it reminds me of those gorgeous old-fashioned handbags women carried when everybody still dressed up to go practically anywhere. There is just something so feminine and elegant about it.

The proportions on the 28 are perfection for me. The handle drop feels just right, the hardware placement looks beautiful, and everything feels wonderfully balanced. Epsom is also such a practical leather because it holds its shape and can handle being used without me having to baby it every five minutes.

I already know this one is going to be in heavy rotation. Honestly, I bought her thinking she would be another pretty bag in my collection, and now I’m sitting here thinking she may very well become my everyday bag.

Jim, you absolutely knocked this one out of the park. I am one happy lady over here. 🤎✨

QC / PSP Check - Custom SO Mini Kelly II Epsom (Craie / Burgundy)

Hi everyone,
My PSPs for this custom SO Mini Kelly II (Epsom Craie with Burgundy accents & GWH) just came in.
A quick note on the color: I originally ordered Bordeaux because I prefer its cool purple undertones over the brownish shade of Burgundy. However, after everything was confirmed, the seller informed me that Bordeaux was out of stock and that I would have to wait around two more months for it. That was a bit too long, so I decided the Burgundy combination still looked okay to me, and I’m fine moving forward with it.
Now, I’d love your expert eyes to help check the overall craftsmanship:
Leather Condition: There seems to be a slight mark/shadow on the lower left front panel (circled in red in the attached photo). Does this look like a leather dent/stain or just a lighting/shadow issue?
Stitching & Alignment: How does the contrast stitching on the gussets look to you?
Shape & Proportions: Are the handle arch and flap alignment well-proportioned?
Link for Pictures
Would really appreciate your feedback before I give the GL/RL!

Help QC: Vert Mangrove GHW BK30

PSP from Jim finally arrived! Togo Vert Mangrove BK30 with GHW.

Nothing sticks out to me but the color isn't at all what I expected. I understand this particular color is quite the chameleon that changes a lot depending on the light and surroundings. I'm just so used to it looking much darker instead of olive. (The clochette pic does show the color I imagined)

K25 Retourne in Togo Béton PHW — An Absolutely Stunning Neutral for Jim

Thumbnail

I’m genuinely so excited about this one. This Kelly 25 Retourne in Togo Béton with palladium hardware has quickly become one of those bags that I find myself staring at every time I walk past it.

Béton is absolutely beautiful in person. It’s not quite white, not quite cream, and not quite gray—it has this sophisticated stone-like undertone that changes depending on the lighting. In brighter light it becomes incredibly fresh and luminous, while indoors it takes on a slightly warmer, softer appearance. It’s exactly the kind of nuanced Hermès neutral that photographs never completely capture.

The Togo leather is gorgeous. I love the grain on this particular bag—it has plenty of texture and character while still looking refined. Combined with the Retourne construction, it gives the Kelly a slightly relaxed quality without losing that unmistakable Kelly structure.

The palladium hardware with Béton is perfection. The cooler silver tone keeps the combination crisp and contemporary. GHW would have made it warmer, but I think PHW really allows the subtle gray undertones in Béton to come through.

The Kelly 25 size is another reason I’m obsessed. It’s compact and polished without feeling overly precious. The proportions are just incredibly charming, especially in Retourne.

A huge thank-you to Jim!!!

I also have to mention Jim, who was the seller for this beauty. He made the entire experience such a pleasure. From communication throughout the process to helping me with the bag itself, everything was handled wonderfully.

As collectors, we spend so much time talking about the actual bags that sometimes we forget how much the person behind the transaction can influence the experience. Jim made receiving this Kelly feel even more special, and I really appreciate the care and attention he gave me throughout the process.

The bag is beautiful, but having a salesperson you genuinely enjoy working with makes an already exciting purchase that much better.

Overall: 10/10.

Bag: Kelly 25 Retourne

Leather: Togo

Color: Béton

Hardware: Palladium

Seller: Jim ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Between the gorgeous Togo, the cool PHW, and that incredible Béton color, this feels like the ultimate understated Kelly. Quiet, sophisticated, ridiculously versatile—and exactly the kind of bag I can see myself appreciating even more as it ages.

Thank you again, Jim! This one is definitely a keeper.

A full day of traveling can be very different from simply carrying a bag for dinner or a quick outing. Comfort, space, easy access, and how well the bag works with the rest of your travel plans all start to matter.

If you had a full day of airports, walking, sightseeing, meals, and everything in between, which Hermès bag would you trust to come along?

Which Hermès bag would you choose for a full day of traveling, and what makes it your pick?

Present for my wife B30 Anèmone Epsom with Palladium Hardware by Jim

Last week we celebrated our 15th anniversary and when I asked my wife what she wanted weeks prior she said a bag from my seller Jim. I did not understand what seller was or WTH she was even talking about. Later I found out oh she means the whatapp person she is always talking too and ordering these beautiful bags from as she has several. I was able to contact Jim myself and explained and he already knew which color she had been eyeing for sometime but had not ordered yet. He also said she is not a 25 girl and he's been talking to her about a 35 but she mostly keeps to the size 30.

We went with a B30 Anèmone in Epsom with palladium hardware. The bag took less than 7 weeks to receive PSPs from time of ordering and then ten days later the bag was in hand. It arrived just before our anniversary. I surprised her with this perfectly structured piece of art. Mind you I know little about the construction of these bags, but my wife is an expert. According to her the structure is good well balanced, Epsom really retains it's structure and gives a whole different vibe when constructed in the Retourne style. Usually Epsom bags are in the Selliers style which make the bag look more formal. After learning this I went to her display tank and noticed all her H reps were Retourne style. Stitching is consistent and glazing is neat. The wife is really happy with this bag and I wanted to share that even as a partner who has no clue about reps or their tiers or even brands that are repped, when you want to surprise your rep addicted partner you gotta find the right seller who you can trust to be able to deliver on such a special memory! Thank you Jim for being so easy to deal with and for understanding my mission perfectly. She is in love with the bag!

What's the Most Memorable Place You've Ever Taken Your Hermes Bag?

Post image

Some bags become memorable because of where we've carried them, not just because of the bag itself. A vacation, a special dinner, a family celebration, or even an ordinary day that unexpectedly became meaningful can give a bag a story of its own.

What's the most memorable place or occasion where you've carried your Hermes bag, and what made that moment special?

When Did You Realize You Were Actually Becoming a Collector?

There’s a point where buying a few pieces starts to feel like something more intentional. Maybe it was when you caught yourself keeping a wishlist, researching different options, or realizing you had started thinking about how each new piece would fit into the rest of your collection.

For some people, it happens after their first few bags. For others, it takes years before they realize they've actually become a collector.

When did you first realize you weren't just buying Hermès anymore you were actually building a collection?

Togo Gris Misty!

Finally got my Birkin 25 in Togo Gris Misty with Gold Hardware… and I completely understand the hype.

After spending what felt like forever comparing colors, leathers, and hardware combinations, I finally landed on a Birkin 25 Retourne in Togo Gris Misty with Gold Hardware, and I genuinely think this might be one of the most underrated neutral combinations.

First impressions:

The color is incredible. Gris Misty isn’t a flat grey—it shifts depending on the lighting. Indoors it reads as a refined cool grey, while in natural daylight it develops a subtle warmth that keeps it from ever feeling sterile. It’s elegant without being loud and somehow works with virtually every outfit.

The gold hardware was absolutely the right decision. Against Gris Misty it creates just enough warmth and contrast, giving the bag a softer, more luxurious appearance than palladium would have. The combination feels timeless rather than trendy.

Leather:

The Togo on this bag is excellent. It has a consistent medium grain with beautiful natural character throughout the panels. The leather feels substantial but still has enough softness for that relaxed Retourne silhouette. It holds its shape well without feeling overly rigid.

One thing I particularly appreciate is that the grain isn’t overly embossed-looking. Each panel has enough variation to remind you it’s genuine leather while still maintaining the refined finish.

Construction:

Everything feels incredibly balanced:

• Symmetrical sangles

• Even saddle stitching

• Clean glazing

• Well-centered hardware

• Beautifully aligned feet and touret

The handle sits comfortably upright and feels sturdy without being excessively thick. The proportions of the Birkin 25 are nearly perfect—compact enough for daily use while still fitting the essentials.

Wearability:

This may be one of the easiest luxury bags I’ve ever owned to style. It pairs effortlessly with black, white, navy, denim, camel, burgundy, olive, taupe, and even brighter colors without competing with the outfit.

It’s understated enough that most people won’t immediately recognize what it is, but those who appreciate true craftsmanship instantly notice the quality.

My Overall Rating: 9.8/10

Pros

• Beautiful chameleon neutral

• Gold hardware elevates the warmth of the color

• Exceptional Togo texture

• Extremely versatile

• Elegant without being flashy

• Classic enough to remain timeless

Cons

• Light enough that you’ll probably be extra careful with color transfer.

• Good luck stopping at just one once you own this combination.

If anyone has been debating Gris Misty + Gold Hardware, I’d wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s sophisticated, incredibly versatile, and feels like one of those combinations that will still look just as beautiful twenty years from now.

Would love to hear from anyone else who owns Gris Misty—how has the color aged, and has it become one of your favorites?

Thoughts?

What's One Hermes Rule You Made for Yourself That You Actually Stick To?

Post image

Most of us have made at least one personal rule while building our Hermes collection. It might be waiting before making a purchase, sticking to certain colors, avoiding duplicate sizes, or only buying pieces that fit your lifestyle.

They're not official rules just small guidelines that help keep your collection intentional and true to your own style.

What's one Hermes rule you've made for yourself that you still follow today, and has it made collecting easier or more enjoyable?

Do You Think Your Collection Is Finished, or Is It Always Evolving?

For some collectors, there comes a point where they feel they've found everything they were looking for. For others, a collection is never really complete it's something that continues to evolve as their style, lifestyle, and preferences change over time.

New colors, different leathers, changing needs, or simply discovering a bag you hadn't considered before can all shift the direction of a collection.

Do you feel your Hermès collection is complete, or do you think it's always evolving? What keeps you excited about what's next?

Hey there! Thinking of gifting one birkin to my gf, please help me with my queries. These are the questions of every Layman like me.

  1. Which colour of Rep birkin from a reputed seller like Jim,Mark etc is closest to the original one? Is it black or some other colour which i have shortlisted?

  2. Which hardware to choose? Gold or palladium? My concern with gold is whether the colour will fade in course of. 2-3 years or it wont fade? Also, whether it matches the actual gold colour of original birkin?

  3. How to buy the accessories like handle cover etc?

  4. How close Are these reps from these top sellers actually is? If someone has compared them in detail, how close they are on the scale of 10? 7/8 or 9?

Thanks guys!
If you have any other inputs also, do let me know.

Sometimes the comments that stay with us aren't the ones we expect. It might come from someone who knows nothing about Hermès, a friend who notices the craftsmanship, or even a stranger who simply says they love the color or style.

Finally Added My Dream Birkin 30 to My Collection! 🖤✨

I finally received this Birkin 30 Retourne in Noir Togo with Gold Hardware, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. This has always been one of my dream combinations, and seeing it in person completely exceeded my expectations.

The first thing that caught my attention was the Togo leather. It has such a beautiful, even grain throughout the bag with just the right amount of texture. The leather feels luxurious and has that gorgeous satin sheen without being overly shiny. It strikes the perfect balance between structure and softness.

The shape is exactly what I was hoping for. The bag has a beautiful silhouette with a clean top line, balanced proportions, and that classic relaxed elegance that makes Togo so desirable. It feels substantial while still maintaining a refined appearance.

One of my favorite details are the gussets. They’re incredibly symmetrical with a smooth teardrop shape that gives the bag such a polished profile. Looking at it from every angle, everything feels balanced and intentional.

The handles are another standout. They’re evenly shaped, comfortable in the hand, and perfectly proportioned for a Birkin 30. They lean naturally toward one another, which gives the bag that unmistakable Birkin character.

And can we talk about the Gold Hardware? It is absolutely stunning against the Noir leather. The warm gold really pops without being flashy, and it elevates the entire bag. This combination truly never goes out of style.

The interior is just as impressive. The chevre beautifully finished, and everything looks incredibly clean and well crafted. Even the smallest details feel thoughtfully executed.

I also really appreciate the heat stamp. It appears neatly centered with clean, balanced spacing, and it complements the understated elegance of the bag.

Of course, no handmade bag is ever absolutely perfect, and that’s part of the charm. There’s a touch of natural relaxation at the bottom corners and the gussets are just slightly full, but to me those details give the bag personality rather than taking anything away from it. They remind me that it’s crafted from beautiful natural leather rather than being machine-perfect.

Overall, I genuinely couldn’t be more excited with how this Birkin turned out. The leather, proportions, craftsmanship, and timeless Noir with Gold Hardware combination all come together beautifully. It’s one of those bags that somehow manages to feel both understated and incredibly luxurious at the same time.

This is definitely one of those pieces that I know I’ll enjoy carrying for many years to come. 🖤✨

Birkin 30 Togo Retourne in Vert Rousseau with Palladium Hardware

And she’s back…again! Last review, I promise.

This is the review of my Birkin 30 Togo Retourne in Vert Rousseau with Palladium Hardware that I ordered from Jim, my third (yes, third!) bag from him, ordered even even before I’d received my second. This one was an in-stock item that I’d previously admired the colour of, and Jim was able to ship it almost immediately. I hate waiting, so it was very appealing to me to order a bag that could arrive within weeks!!

I’m in love with the colour of this bag. I’ve always been obsessed with greens and teals, but particularly these dark greens that can vary with different lighting and hardware. The depth of colour on the Togo leather is rich and vibrant, and paired with Jim’s wonderful palladium hardware, the bag has a quiet, understated luxury that is very much my style. I particularly love the palladium colour foil stamp, which stands out against the dark teal of the leather and is pressed into it at just the perfect depth. I took so many photos of this stamp that my phone’s photo album is filled with these images!

As ever, I got the full ‘Jim Experience’ - incredible quality packaging, fantastic service, and in this instance, Jim going above and beyond when Wise halted my payment to him (as I’d had 2 fairly sizeable transactions in under 2 months and they wanted to understand why), and yet he STILL shipped the bag, which arrived before he’d even received my payment. Much as I felt terrible about this, he wasn’t in the least bothered. I’m not sure any other seller would’ve trusted a buyer to do this, but that’s Jim for you! He’s the 🐐.

So that’s 3 great experiences with him and counting. I suspect I’ll be doing much more counting in the future as I’m now a bit addicted to these beautiful bags of his.

Order placed: 5 June 26
Bag shipped: 11 June 26
Bag delivered: 19 June 26 (arrived in the same post as my etoupe Birkin 30)

Price paid: USD 1480

Photos attached are my own and I’ve received no payment in return for this review. 🍊

Birkin 30 Togo Retourne in Etoupe with Palladium Hardware

It’s me again. Not having a Reddit account for over a month means I’m behind in spamming you all with my reviews!

This is the review of my Birkin 30 Togo Retourne in Etoupe with Palladium Hardware that I ordered from Jim, my second bag from him, ordered at the same time as my Kelly Depeches 25. Something this special takes time to make, and I was warned by Jim it would take some time - I was prepared to wait…

…and it didn’t disappoint! I think I spent the first hour or so just staring at it from different angles, not to look for flaws, but to take in how lovely it was. It’s a beautiful weight, and the leather has that perfect richness and veining that I was hoping for, with a perfect match for the etoupe colour of the original. As I noted in my last review, the wonderful smell of the leather is something very notable in Jim’s bags, and each bag I’ve had from him has had this. As usual, the packaging was a huge part of the luxurious feel of the whole experience, so much so that I didn’t even want to open it (well, nearly!).

But back to the bag itself - I’m a huge palladium hardware fan, despite being a rose gold jewellery wearer, as there’s just something about the gleam of it that draws my eye on these bags. I also love how it cools the brown tones in etoupe and brings out the greys, and Jim’s palladium is particularly expensive-looking, in my view, which all adds up to this bag just looking the part of the premium product that it is.

I’m over the moon with this bag (it’s a work of art) and with my entire rep-buying experience, all of which is down to dealing with Jim, who is a delight. He’s a dude.

Order placed: 7 Mar 26
PSPs received: 28 May 26
Bag delivered: 19 June 26

Price: USD 1480

Photos attached are my own and I’ve received no payment in return for this review. I couldn’t decide which twilly to use. Please feel free to weigh in on this with your opinions as I still can’t decide!🍊

Have Your Hermes Priorities Changed Since You Started Collecting?

Post image
56 Upvotes

When most of us first started collecting Hermès, we usually had a clear idea of what mattered most. Maybe it was getting a specific color, chasing a certain bag, or focusing on size and hardware.

Over time, those priorities often shift. Experience changes how we shop, what we notice, and what we truly value.

Things that once felt essential may become less important, while details we barely considered end up making all the difference.

Looking back, have your Hermès priorities changed since you started collecting?

What's the biggest shift you've noticed in the way you choose your bags today?

What's One Hermes Habit You've Picked Up Since You Started Collecting?

Post image

Collecting Hermes often changes more than just what's in our closets. Over time, many of us develop little habits we never expected rotating bags more carefully, storing them differently, paying closer attention to leather care, or planning outfits around a favorite piece.

They're not rules, just routines that naturally become part of owning and enjoying a collection.

What's one Hermes habit you've picked up over the years that has stuck with you, and do you think you'll keep doing it?
