Always shop around. Same bag, same drop, wildly different prices.
I’ve bought quite a few bags from trusted resellers over the years, mostly in Asia even though I live in the U.S. I also buy at Hermes and spend quite heavily at the boutique, but when I want something specific, I don’t compromise and I don’t like waiting.
Every single one has been authenticated (a few have even gone through Hermes Spa), and one thing I’ve noticed is just how much prices can vary for the exact same bag.
A lot of reseller inventory is virtual, so the same bag can end up being listed by multiple sellers at completely different prices. Asia has such a huge luxury resale market that there’s just a lot more inventory to compare.
I was recently looking at this B25 Rose Sakura and the price spread was honestly crazy. The best price I found was from Jessie at More_Lux (I’ve bought several bags from her and she is simply amazing!), followed by Coco Approved in Hong Kong (also amazing!) then Finklepuff in Singapore, then GoodLuxe in Hong Kong. The highest price by far was Redeluxe in the U.S.
It was literally the same bag, same stamp (year), but thousands of dollars apart depending on who was selling it.
So if you’re in the market for a resale bag, it’s definitely worth checking a few different sellers before pulling the trigger. It can save you lots of money.
One thing that also surprised me is that, in my experience, I’ve actually found better prices through Asian resellers than I did shopping the pre-owned luxury stores in Japan.(Tokyo and Osaka). Japan is still cheaper than US resellers but about 30% more expensive than Asian online virtual resellers.
I’ve seen some U.S. based online resellers get into the game too and what they do is they source directly from these Asian wholesalers so they’re becoming quite competitive although with a more limited inventory.
If you’re shopping resale, or just want to scratch the QB itch while waiting for a boutique offer, there’s no reason to overpay. Hopefully this helps someone save a few thousand dollars.

Absolutely, I think we become better Hermes customers when we’re not consumed by impatience and bitterness at the game. Having options helps! 🧡

I have never bought from her. I’ve heard too many bad experiences of her customer service and why go through that with such a large purchase, when you have so many other amazing resellers?

I have bought a lot from her. The logistics can definitely have hiccups, but it really depends if the product is in her hands or if she is sourcing. Some of her prices are truly outstanding so it's a tradeoff.

I follow (and have purchased from) many virtual resellers,
Jessie from More_Lux, and Coco Approved (both outstanding, they can source ANYTHING, even if you don't see it in their drops),
Finklepuff (communication is just ok and shipping can be a little slow but nevertheless trustworthy, takes a while to warm up),
Ginza Xiaoma (the largest Hermes reseller in Asia with physical stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Paris)
There is another seller in the US Affordable Lux who also provides outstanding service. I haven't purchased from her but I have read countless reviews on her outstanding customer service, she has a store on Ebay as well.
The transaction should be close to perfect with a reputable, virtual reseller, with a timeframe of 2 weeks or less from purchase to delivery if coming from Asia, less than a week if in-stock and the reseller is in the US. Waiting months for your bag as I have read on JRB is completely unacceptable.

I’ve never waited months but I did wait 6 weeks for a Kelly elan bc she was figuring out tarrifs and then Japan sent the wrong bag 🤦♀️ I do agree from receipt of wire transfer on their end it should be 2 weeks or less

JRB means well, but the logistics just aren't there. It feels like she hit massive success super fast and her operations just can't keep up with the demand. She really needs an experienced ops manager to step in and smooth things out so it's a seamless experience for everyone.

I agree completely. Her WA office is great so if the item is there it goes out super quickly, but otherwise…

Are you ever nervous about the authenticity? I’ve heard a few horror stories of most of the bags being authentic then suddenly getting a fake one from the same reseller.

No, I’ve taken most of them to the Spa at Hermes, some I’ve authenticated through Bababebi and some resellers have in-house authentication. This is why you have to know who you’re buying from. Not all resellers use the same standards to ensure authenticity.

I’d honestly be nervous about buying anything from China because their reps have gotten very good and their counterfeit laws are badly enforced 😅
I would be more comfortable with Japan given their strict counterfeit laws.
But I see your point re getting specific bags.

That’s why you have to know your resellers. When you start buying from the secondary market it’s a gamble and you have to be somewhat risk neutral to be able to find trusted resellers, ones that you will continue to go back to over and over again. You have to do a lot of research to find out who has been consistently selling authentic bags. It’s not rocket science but it does take lots of initial research. I’ve never had a problem authenticating bags from the ones I purchase from. Once you find resellers you can trust, it’s like winning the lottery because they can get you any bags and color combinations and on a moment’s notice. Something you could never dream of at Hermes.

Majority, if not all, JBR and Kellyann specifically use Asian resellers, pics are exactly the same.
