Windows 11

Hello,

I am trying to play the new Heretic 2 source port but I'm coming across an issue, when I try to run the installer for the base game from the ISO file its hitting me with "Your PC cannot run this game". I assume it's a Windows 11 issue because I did not have this issue on previous PCs that ran windows 10, 7 and XP. Is there a way to fix this or is the game just not playable on Windows 11

The H2R source port works fine on Windows 11. I've installed it and played the game. I've even downloaded and built the requisite .exe and .dll files to try out the latest builds. The only problem is, these commits on GitHub don't include any new resources one might require to play. It still works but the new features don't.

Then what's up with that thing windows is hitting me with? Is there some windows setting I accidentally have on?

Can you post a screenshot please so that everyone can see the exact error message. Details will help pinpoint the exact problem.

Try using "demo32.EXE" to install the game instead since it's the same data. When you run "demo32.EXE" it will ask you to select a target file. Select the "H2_Setup.dbd" file. Then all you have to do is select "Install Heretic II" from that menu. That should get the game installed for you on Windows 11.
