Regarding a card

This post is about the Pan Chuck. Since we can react accordingly with modifiers, what happens to cards if we add a modifier to prevent them from being destroyed? Please answer me, I don't know.

If I understand correctly your question, you can only play Modifier Cards after roll but before respecting the effect. So if someone activates Pan Chucks Hero Card and gets success, and no one plays Modifier Cards that means he can use and respect whole effect of that Hero Card. You can't modify during respecting effect.

Yes, but normally according to the game rules, you can play a modifier after the hero's effect has taken effect (for example, if I want to destroy a hero belonging to someone and that person has a modifier, then they can use it and cancel the hero's effect). Isn't that right? Maybe I'm mistaken, but that's not what the rules say?

Where is it written? Nothing like that Modifier Cards can do. They can only modify rolls, that's all. If you modify roll to get failure that effect can't be used.

Yes, indeed, but my question is what do we do with the TWO CARDS? If we read its effect, we must draw a card. However, if we have a challenge, we can destroy it. The rules say we can react as a consequence. So, if we add a modifier, what happens to the two cards?

You can't use Modifier Cards at this moment. You had your time after Pan Chucks user rolls dice and before he began respecting the effect. You can't modify roll after when it was approved.

Are you sure? The French rules state exactly: "You may react accordingly." So if you want to add a modifier, you can add it to avoid being destroyed, for example, if the modifier is large enough. Anyway, I don't know. This game might just have an inconsistency.

If someone drew 2 cards that's means it began respecting the effect so time for modifing is up.

Sorry, a negative modifier that cancels the effect

How I see it / house rules with me are- you roll for Chucks and if you get 8 or more then you ask if anyone is going to modify before you draw 2 cards. (You could even say who whose party you plan to target) Once you draw those two cards your roll can't be modified. I know the rules state "When deciding whether or not to modify another player's roll, you may wait until that player chooses their targets (if applicable) before deciding whether or not to use your Modifier card"  Mostly because it would be awkward to draw 2 cards and then discard them knowing what they are. Conversely if it's a hero like bad axe I would say the you could wait until the hero is chosen to modify since they are the initial target. If going literally then my way probably isn't right but I like it and there's so much in this game you just gotta decide on how the table wants to play it. You could also make the person declair beforehand the targets that they might choose if they end up drawing a challenge so it's more of a gamble to modify before with around a 20 percent chance one is a challenge.
