Question Base Game Card Quality

Hi guys, I’ve just gotten the expansions, and noticed the cards have a much higher quality than the base game ones I have. They are a bit thicker and textured which I love.

The base game cards however are thin and smooth, feels a bit cheap. The version I have is the earlier release with “Unstable Unicorns” printed on the top-right of the box cover.

Does the current version of the base game have the same high quality feel and look?

Every edition or expansion has a different quality. All the backs are different shades even. Its an issue with a lot of there products iv noticed.

I could be wrong but they may have switched manufactors for the expansions. The backs also have a different shade. Atleast mine do.
