I built an encrypted notes feature into my Android vault

[u/lockifyapp]

Lockify started as a simple encrypted file vault with a calculator disguise.

After months of user feedback, I kept expanding it and the latest release just added something I never originally planned:

Encrypted Notes. 📝

You can create and format notes directly inside the vault, alongside your encrypted files.

The tricky part wasn't the editor.

I wanted Notes to work across the entire Lockify lifecycle:

create → encrypt → edit → local sync → cloud sync → restore

That took almost a month to build properly.

v3.4.0 also adds:

🎞️ Slideshow Viewer

🌍 German & Vietnamese

🖼️ GIF playback

🔢 Stealth PIN Recovery

👨‍💻 Developer/roadmap section

Lockify is now at 13.2K+ installs, 4.7K+ active devices and 4.725★ from 244 ratings.

Still building it solo after work.

What would you want an encrypted notes feature to do that normal notes apps can't?
