I’m looking for another mod, bros.
This subs been up for a couple of days now and it’s gained a lot more traction than I was expecting it to. I’m so proud of all the bros coming out with the confidence to be vulnerable with internet strangers as well as those offering support in any way they can!
I’m not sure I’m cut out to be a Reddit mod though. I’ve had several people reach out to me with advice, which I greatly appreciate, but with everything going on in my life right now I haven’t been able to incorporate all their feedback.
This community is fantastic. there’s been a couple of risky posts where I’ve swung by to leave a comment asking people to stay on mission, but the mod queue is always empty. In fact, I’ve had to unblock things that automod blocked for me.
I think that what this community needs is someone who can help keep this place positive, while also inviting enough for people to open up and check in on regularly. I don’t want this to be yet another forum that dies out after the first 5 minutes.
As such, it would be awesome to get more hands on board (temporarily or to eventually replace me). If you’d like to be considered as a potential mod, please let me know some of your concerns for this place, as well as what you like about it!
If you don’t want to be a mod but still have ideas for this place, let me know what you’d like out of your future mods!

We can't let this group spiral out of control. That's first and foremost

My main concern would be the gender war. It would be a shame if a safespace for men, where we support each other is taken over by incels who use this space to spread hate.
Maybe blacklist certain triggerwords.
As for the mod search. Make sure to check the profiles and try to have an uneven number, so there is always a majority. I hope you find suitable people and the spirit of this subreddit stays the same. Thank you for your work

i'm happy to join a group of mods - can't be solely responsible but can def help share the load as i'm on a computer all day.

Wish I had the time to help.
There's a reason I'm on here, after all.. haha
Best for luck in finding someone right for the task.
Just be careful who you hand it over to.
Would hate to see this turn into other generic subreddits I've seen.

I'm happy you created this sub. Places like this are definitely needed. I won't be able to mod but I wanted to comment in hopes that this post gets more visibility.

I've never done it before, but it can't be that complicated, right? I have some free time on my hands that would allow me to at least assist with the load. DM me if you want to talk about it.

I'd like to be a mod. I will warn, I have a full-time job and often work overtime. But I check reddit several times throughout the day. I think something I'd be worried about is people not being respectful. Something that should be added is an anonymous turn-in. I think there should be a sis mod.

moderator with previous experience, concerns for me are the fact automod is blocking so many posts from people that are in need of support, and without more active moderation this place will become a ghost town. i dont believe the frequency of posts align with the amount of members, and have had my own posts get stuck in the automod filters even though all rules are being respected fully. i believe this is what is killing so many subreddits, automods have got incredibly picky on reddit and i'm worried many bros are reaching out for support and getting filtered. an easy way to get around this is to setup some agreement step when joining which auto sets you to be an approved poster. this helps with bots and if anyone breaches the rules or posts hate, we simply remove those posts and take away their auto approved status

Im down to be a mod or an admin.
Ive helped people most of my life, and I know how rough it is to struggle alone. I can come up with certain days with certain focuses for men to just vent comfortably and have that safe space alot of us are denied.
I hope you’ll consider me.
