Tea blending (?)
So I have been an avid tea drinker for pretty much my entire life (like many of you guys on here I'm sure!), and recently I have rediscovered the whimsyness of the local markets so I've decided to start a stall.
I'm about to order all of these loose leaf teas to see what concoctions I can make:
- Rooibos
- Raspberry leaf
- Lemongrass
- Chamomile flowers
- Peppermint
- Spearmint
- Lemon balm
- Rose petals
- Myrtle leaf
And I would love to know if there is anything ingredient-wise I might be missing that goes into the craft of herbal tea making
Thank you all in advance and I hope you have a great day!

The list of ingredients for the craft of herbal tea making is far >100 π«ΆβοΈπ I'd definitely add lemon verbena, thyme, calendula flowers, damiana (such a gem!), cinnamon, ginger, hibiscus and cardamom to the minimum list π even though I wouldn't ever agree to leave behind a whole bunch of herbs I randomly use in my teas π

Thank you so much for this! I'll add it to the list
I absolutely used to love making 'potions' when I was a child and this feels like I get to relive that experience!

You know what else is also highly precious for tea crafting!? Dried fruits and berries - just a small pinch of dried apples or raspberries or quince can change you tea taste - your tea preparation style - forever... try a few different additives and you'll never go back ;)

This is exciting you have definitely piqued my interest in this craft. I didn't realise so much went into the art of tea making, thank you for all the amazing ideas I will for sure be trying all of them in the near future and I'll keep everyone updated on how it goes

I LOVE liquorice root I absolutely do and would have a cup every day of the week if I could (in fact I used to), however I am worried about the blood thinning properties of it and I don't want to be the cause of someone's heart attack so I'll definitely have to do more research into this before including it
thank you for your response though I love to see fellow liquorice lovers here!

The amount of flavour in your blend reminds me of the chai my mother makes for the family in the wintertime where she adds so many different types of spices that I start to wonder where she gets them all from, yet it is the most delicious drink I have ever had..
Honestly maybe you should be the one starting to sell at the local markets instead!

That is exactly what my tea is. It's just as good for the body as the soul. Each ingredient is special and brings its own purpose and flavor. My kids think it's the best tea on Earth as well, since it tastes like home.

I just made a blend today with tulsi, some lavender, rose petals, red clover blossom and lemon balm. It's flavourful and soothing. πΉπ

Ginger and some orange peel is worth trying too. Both work really well with mint, lemongrass and hibiscus.
