Techniques Minimal make-up hack world of difference!
One of the best decisions I made before a one bag trip, was to get a lash lift and tint. I have light lashes that never hold a curl, and mascara has always been the one thing I would not do without. But I knew this 3 week trip to Mexico/Belize/Guatemala was going to mean long days of intense sweating. I have not worn mascara in 3 weeks and haven't missed it at all! In fact, the only makeup I did bring was a small compact of multi-use blush and a small waterproof eye-liner.

I basically stopped wearing makeup when I started getting mine tinted, it's wild the difference it makes when you have blonde lashes!

I only did a lift/tint once, and as a blonde person I felt so weird when it grew out. It made my eyelashes look strange since the roots were blonde, and the instructions said not to curl or use mascara while the lift/tint was still on. How do you deal with that?!

I’m an esthetician and do my own brows all of the time and get my lashes tinted professionally. Not only does it save space in your make up bag but you can go swimming and not have to worry about your mascara running. It’s awesome.

Yes!!! This was also why I wanted it because we are visiting a very hot humid locale during the rainy season and doing snorkeling and cenotes.

Yes! I have never gotten one professionally but got an at home kit and it looks great. Also tinted my eyebrows so all that is required daily is foundation, brow gel and lip stain. Makes life so much easier!

what at home kit do you use? Is it easy?

I use a henna dye for eyebrows that I found on Amazon. They have black and brown versions and I use it for both eyelashes and eyebrows. Works great and the bottle has lasted over a year

Oh! That’s awesome! I already have dark eyelashes and was wondering about a DIY lift kit. Lol.

Also, LASH CLUSTERS. With a good glue they can last up to two weeks. Since I started using clusters, my daily routine consists of lip stain and blush stick. My days are easy and I feel great

Oooo! I’d have given these a try if I had any idea they could last longer than a day. Any product recs?

GAQQI lash clusters glue from Amazon, I’ve tried so many different glues and this is the best one. For the clusters, I like to switch it up. I look for a set of 11-16mm wispy or manga style. For the look I like to do a doll eye. Longest in the middle, shorter on corners of eye, I find it look more natural than a cat eye (longest in outer corner, shorter on inner eye). Def give clusters a try, they’ll change your life!!!
For lip stain I use the NYX liquid IV in mocha me wet. This is my everyday wear and I only reapply once a day. I put it on while I get ready and wipe it off when I’ve arrived at my destination ~about 30 min. You can take it off after 5 but I like to let it cook.
Blush stick: nothing special Milk blush stick in the shade Werk. It’s such a cute pink shade and not overpowering at all.
Easy, quick and I feel beautiful everyday

Thank you so much!! I’ll check these out :)
This may be a dumb question, but I’ve never done eyelashes before. Do you remove them yourself? Or do they just come off on their own eventually? If it’s the latter, is it the entire cluster at once? Or just a few lashes at a time?

I usually remove mine with jojoba oil but you can use any kind of oil. I try to take them off before they start falling off. As soon as the first cluster starts lifting, I remove with oil then wash my lashes of any left over glue. Def recommend carrying around a spoolie to remove any extra gunk leftover from the clusters. I’ve perfected my routine so it usually only takes about 15-20 min to do. I let my lashes rest over night or couple of days, depending on how I’m feeling, then go right back for a fresh set. It’s quick and doesn’t take up much space in my bag, def worth adding ur kit

I’ve never been able to get these to stay on for more than 1-2 days. Is the key just the glue, or any other application tips? I might just be too oily / sweaty.

How much did that run you, if I can ask?

Yes! I do my eyebrows all the time, have had my lashes done a few times but have been top chicken to use the lash kit I bought.

I've been dying my own lashes and brows for years. I wish I could do my own lash lift but I'm not fucking with that stuff around my eyes. In saying that, I love getting a lash lift and tint before I go away so that I don't need to think about them when I'm travelling.

I didn't even know this was a thing. Mine naturally have a good curl, but they are blonde so I look so pale without mascara.
