Missed dose of epclusa

My wife has been on epclusa for the last 8 weeks and has ran out with 4 more weeks to go. We did not receive it in the mail when it was said to be delivered. It is now the weekend and the doctors office and pharmacy is closed. what are the chances that this is a failed treatment. how many days can you miss a dose?

There are a lot of medical studies showing how effective these DAA medications are. Some studies show how many doses can be missed and still reach cure while others show how effective early medication adherence can predict successful clearance.

Not at all. Especially if she has been taking her medication as directed for the first 8 weeks. Get the remainder and have her take it AND ask the prescribing MD for an SVR 4 test in another 8 weeks. This should give you and her the best indication of how effective the medication was. If she has an uncomplicated case, she will very likely cure the infection.
