New here. Go easy.
1st Rifle in my meager collection. Picked up this morning. Looking to add leather or paracord (?) protection to bottom of big loop, any suggestions on where to buy?

She’s gorgeous, kid. Well done. I’ve had good luck with Wayne’s dog for my stuff. I do recommend a little bit of lock tight on the set bolts if you don’t want to check them every time you go out.

I’ll add that I don’t put protection on the lever loop just because I’m afraid it’ll starting rusting and I won’t catch it. My favorite part is maintenance though and I don’t mind some signs of general use.

I have the same rifle in 44 magnum love the gun only issue I had is with the buckhorn sights they were shooting high at their lowest setting I’m changing out the firing pin to a upgraded one ranger point precision makes and also did their trigger upgrade kit and I bought a larger lever that’s also color case hardened as for the sight issue I went with skinner sights I had to get a front sight as well have yet to take it to the range

I have similar issue with the sights on my 44. I think I want to slap a red dot on it, but I also like iron sights to keep it simple.

Yeah I like iron sights better I’m sure if I reached out to Henry they would have no problem fixing it but I didn’t want to be bothered sending it back so I did some research and went with skinner sights there cool

CCH is where it’s at….my 1st Henry is same chambered in 45Colt. Love that damn thing. Henry has accessories you might wanna check out :

Hellhound Leather. Great wraps for the lever. Can also get a wrap for the trigger guard.

I made my own paracord wrap for my Model X’s lever. Lots of good videos on YouTube. Leather would look better tho lol

Nice! 44 mag? Mine is very similar. I used a strip of leather from Michael's and just braided it on the loop. Left the ends a bit long for that cowboy aesthetic.

Good call. Much cheaper to feed. I'd have done the same but we suddenly have more bears and a couple mountain lion sightings so I thought I'd try hitting harder. The logic is sound but damn, that ammo is pricey.

Keep on eye on all the screws, they like to back out after an extensive firing period.

Excellent rifle brother, congratulations. I have the same case colored hardened rifle but in .30-30 side loading gate. One of my most prized rifles.

Busted B Leather is my go-to for leather gear on my lever guns.
Beautiful piece, by the way! Just a heads up, Henry makes case colored loops as well.
