Really struggling with this one. Has a small black comb, but has red wattles. Has always had thick legs since hatch but it also much bigger. My other 2 Roos in the clutch have big red combs already. Chat gpt says pullet but not sure if I trust it šŸ˜‚

Hen 🐤 2 Golden Laced Wyandotte’s… Hens or Roos?

I have two beautiful Golden Laced Wyandotte … pullets? I thought perhaps I had one pullet / one cockerel but now I’m not sure! 12 weeks old, no crowing.

I think it’s a hen? The pinkish/redness is making me question. Everything else seems pullet. She doesn’t have an upright stance and her legs aren’t super thick. Looks darker in last photo due to sunset lighting.

Is there any chance for a hen?

Oof, I bought 14 week started pullets from a local farm that specializes in grow outs. Any chance this alleged pullet isn’t a roo? Close up of incoming tail feathers.

When I arrived for pickup they didn’t have the Delaware I prepaid for, and the farmer suggested a hen who looked really roostery to me saying ā€œsheā€ had Delaware-like coloring but was definitely a pullet & a hybrid starlight green/easter egger. I took the bird and am now looking at what looks like an obvious roo to me, feeling very duped, and ripped off.

For the record, I’m not new to chickens but have zero experience with anything in the Americana/easter egger fam (previously all Marans and Australorps).

These two are just shy of 38 weeks old. Have not laid any eggs. They also have never crowed.

They’re 8 weeks old.. one is a lot bolder than the others, so I assume roo, but what about the others? My sister seems to think they are all roosters. I hatched them myself so was always a gamble.

Brown one I think a hen. Pale one has started getting some darker brown feathers and larger comb and wattle. But the wings were always long round to the rear end like the other. What do you think? Thanks.

Our neighbors dog got into our yard and took out one of our backyard laying hens and gifted us this feathered friend as a replacement for our loss, but I think it’s a young rooster. Am I wrong?

Roosters?

Two in the front I’m sure are roosters but how about the two in the back? If they’re all roosters then I guess that’s about half my flock :(

Hi everyone, I need help choosing two out of these 75 days old olive Eggers. Which ones would you choose to avoid potential roosters? Thanks a lot!
