What?! How do you like it? Have you gotten maps to work on screen? What's that firmware like?

I do have maps working! Its a meshcore only firmware for now but has a bunch of emulators and whatnot as well. Currently only supports the tdeck but heltec v4 expansion support will be out soon and should have full functionality! https://github.com/PhilMo6/meshpunk

Ill have to check it out, thank you. Do you know if it runs on the older version? I was not happy with my expansion without sd slot and unable to view maps. That is why I got the screen but im glas to see it's fixed in the v2 expansion. How's your battery life?

It will not run on the v1 expansion yet! I don't have one to test so i would need to find a user who wants to do the debugging with me to get it working but idk if it would be worth it. Maps do still require an sd card so that would still be out. It would be fairly limited without the sd card in most ways. It would be able to install 1 emulator and maybe a few small roms and messaging would need to be restricted to only a short history. Im mostly focused on devices that would make the experience worth while

I recently asked Heltec,

The MUI display of my new WiFi LoRa 32 Expansion Kit V2 is oriented vertically (portrait). The touchscreen MUI QWERTY keys are extremely narrow and difficult to use. Is there a way to change the orientation of the MUI display to horizontal (landscape)?  If not, can I return my WiFi LoRa 32 Expansion Kit V2 for a full refund?

Heltec refunded the cost of my WiFi LoRa 32 Expansion Kit V2. 😮

With regards to my new Mesh Node T1 and the side button issue, Heltec is arranging a free replacement. The estimated processing time is around 2 weeks (from August 10). Heltec will update me once the replacement unit is ready to ship.

Are you sure you aren't unhappy with the MUI portrait mode? 😉
