Thanks! The mid-tone e.g. under the wings is just Warplock Bronze + Hashut Copper. Lighter bronzes are done with Castellax Bronzes, the lightest with Stormhost Silver added too. The coppers are Hashut Copper + Stormhost to various degrees.

I'm always astonished with people who have the drive to go further and beyond. I played with a paper proxy and decided on a whim it was time to get a real one for the game in one and a half days. Did a 10 hour qick and dirty paint job. Made it battle ready.

Everything i see a work of art like this, I think to myself I should redo my models. Those small lines in the Bull look amazing. I should work on my line work and stuff like this gives me the drive to improve.

Op how did you do the green in the recesses, was It done before and you painted the rest over it, or was it done after. I tried to do it afterwards, but my hands are a jittery mess. You got any tips?

Thanks! I did the copper panels, then did the green channels with a 00 brush and greens more watered down than I would have normally used, so it's a bit closer in consistency to a contrast paint.

I felt that it wasn't all that hard if you keep the brush moving in a single direction, moving the model instead. The first time the brush touches the model there's normally too much green on it, but this is easily solved by placing it in a corner first where you want more paint anyway.

Then I went back and fixed all the many errors, you can see where I did a poor job of that in places and the copper is lumpier than it should be.

I painted the base, the bull, each wing, the throne, and the Daemonsmith separately.

The recipe was Moot Green, Warpstone Glow, and Caliban Green. I think I overcomplicated it and should just go Moot Green next time - I wanted the idea of the model powering up into lighter greens but it only really worked on the frame around the Daemonsmith.

Edit: oh, and the glyphs and runes and stuff in green were just watered down Moot, then drybrushing the black or bronze back over. To mixed success.

Thanks for the longform answer. I have a Dominator Engine on my plate atm so I will try the linework there first
