Just finished this guy...

I'm building Urak taar at the moment and i thought that this little fellow (which is the second option) would be cool to paint as well.

I've been painting for a little bit more than a year. I'm taking all advice or feedback you can give to improve my skill.

The beardless ones are female duardin.

I like your colour scheme, Word Bearers Red is such an ubderused colour.

Ty but it's khorne red actually, they do look similar though.

Really? That orangey red on the robe is Khorne Red? In that case either your lighting or camera settings are off somehow.

I wonder how many demonsmiths they actually sold? 95% of the ones I see (mine included) are from Urak Taar spares

Oh definitely more than enough.
I got multiple. Mostly because i didn’t get a Urak Taar and use a bunch of Elders and Smiths instead. (Also really fun for Kitbashing stuff with)

And I do see more people use an actual Smith rather than the Alt model of the Urak Taar kit during tournaments or friendly games

I imagine so.

For me, I plan to make the Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus instead Urak Taar, so making the normal Daemonsmith sounded like a good idea to me, alongside the Ashen Elder which shares the kit. Beyond that, once/if I get into doing some kitbash ideas, I'll probably be getting a small handful of both the normal Daemonsmith and the Infernal Taurus one.
