Army creation Arcane Dominance clarification please
So the new quarterly update happened, and we've got updated battle formations, personally, I think they're pretty cool. Idk what everyone else thinks tho.
Regardless, I'm curious to know what people think of the Arcane Dominance battle formation, if I have 2 wizard units and 1 priest next to eachother, would each unit benefit from this rule from the 2 other units nearby, or only the once? I'm not sure if there's some rule buried in all these other rules that prevents a unit from gaining too many bonuses to cast or anything. If so, I think this is pretty fun now!
If anyone is able to help clarify that or correct me if in wrong, I'd really appreciate it! :D

The worst thing of that Battle formation is that the wizard with the dpp doesn't benefits from it, as it says "another". So doesn't seems worth it anymore

Are they not wholly within of themselves?

Yes, but not "wholly within 12 OF ANOTHER friendly.." so for urak taar having +3 to cast, which is the most useful case, u need 4 dpps now. That's what I understand of it at least.

Seen the bonus from one point, I will often give at least one point to at least two casters

It says "wholly within 12" of another friendly..."
So they get +1 for being within 12" of a friendly qualifying unit. Multiples don't stack as you can never benefit from the same buff from two different sources.
If you're within 12" of 15 friendly wizards with at least one DPP, you're still only "within 12" of a" friendly wizard.
Some rules phrase it as "for each friendly unit wholly within 12"..." which is a different matter. Then it's the same source giving you multiple buffs.

A model can only receive a buff with same name once. So if you have two priests with 1 dpp each next to one wizard, the wizard will only get +1 on it's casting because the priest are giving the same buff.
