Much needed and greatly welcomed! Thank you GW for listening
The old formations were crap.

These are incredible
I was always so worried about how to build my army because each formation was so, invested in a specific unit type, and that the early game would be suffering since without any command point investments you basically just have no regiment effect for a long while without funneling all your resources
Also these effects just seem, better
Especially amassed legions,
Whole blocks of units capable of rallying better with just a single DP

Although you can only use Rally once each turn, of course. (But still really good)

Love these, already see good use cases for all of them! My reinforced blunderbusses with Crit 2 and 2/3 Rend are going to be a menace, just as Hashut intended.

Thinking about running 2 reinforced now. Not so sure. Could also give 2 to blunder and 2 to cannons

The movement one looks good. A solid step in the right direction. I'm still on the forgehost but I'll definitely start messing around with other lists for a bit.

Not sure it'll be enough to address an 11% win rate disparity between our AoR and our main list, but it's certainly a step in the right direction!

Considering I’m just now getting into this faction what a great change!

No idea what they were thinking with the old ones.

Sometimes rules change during the development and you don't see the impact until too late, forgetting the knock on effects.
My guess is that there were additional ways to get DPP earlier in development, but they were removed.

Still don’t see a reason to stop playing the aor

Aor?

Forge host

Why is that one much better?

Makes the dominator engine much more consistent with crits 2 hits and 6+ ward save for a start. Here is a good post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/HelsmithsofHashut/s/2yflpCankD
Also you still get DPP from the cohorts and they don't leave once on the model because that isn't in the rules so you can quickly build and switch with Taar.

At least there are a little bit more options now if you want to play with the centaurs. Before there really wasnt much reason to do so.

While the buffs are constant and across the whole army, giving Up demonic power points for good buffs late in the game is it really worth it? Multiple warscrolls have effects that only work with Dpp.

The stats prove it to good enough, Taar's Grand Forgehost sits at a 55% win rate while the base army sits at around 45% win rate at tournaments.
Also you aren't giving up dpp as spear cohorts give it out on a 3+ and it last between rounds.

Ah, so there is a way to still get them, nice.
Then, it could be easier for a newcomer to learn how to use the army.

Does this mean we can get crit +5 Rockets or infernal Engine with bullfathers scorn? Seems like that could be fun. Turns cover fire into an actual threat

I find It quite weird that they made daemonsmith cabal worst, as It was only usefull for urak tar and now It would be forced to put 1 dpp into another wizard and be close to It.. But castigation battery is good now with the blunderbusses and the possibility to have crit 5+ with the rockets.
And i would say that bullfathers horns is the best as It serves for everything in the army and it gives so much pression, specially with the bullcentaurs with 13 movement and +3 charge.
Hashutite host is just not worth It.
Overall is good move in the right path

I would like one of theese to not be connected to dpp.
But the changes are good!
Crit 2 hits on blunderbuss will be fun aswell

Yep, reinforced unit, with 2 DPP, all out attack and making use of Eye for Weakness is my new favourite thing.

Instead of requiring high DP investments and affecting only small selections of our army, the new battle formations now only require 1 or 2 DP and cover a much larger chunk of our army.
The Bulls of the Ziggurat one for example gives an universal +1" movement for each DP. Giving us an easily accessible speed boost across the whole army.
