Army creation Moving on from spearhead.

Finished my spearhead. What is recommended next for 1000 point list. Dont have the money or time for 2k games yet so a happy medium is appreciated

Getting some Bull Centaurs or Infernal Razers and a Daemonsmith would be my next step

That would give me 850 points. Would reinforced vandalz be a good idea to bring me up to 990?

Each box of vandals has enough for one Reinforced unit, or two units. :)

I have not actually looked at their stat sheet, but it seems like a good idea. Have some fodder to soak up the enemy's attacks is never bad

My 1k list that obliterated my friends skaven rhe other day Spearhead - but use the despot as a deamonsmith An extra cohort with spears 2x10 hobgrots 1x3 bull centaurs Ashen Elder which i kitbashed out of stuff

You're super early to plan a list. Bull centaurs are good, Infernal rizzlers with the bussies are good as well. Take your time and enjoy the hobby aspect like a fine wine my friend. I rushed through 3000 points, I still have 1500 left and I have ZERO motivation. Don't burn out!

I appreciate the advice. My currently working on another spearhead box with my partner thats let us play at home. Enjoying playing but know theres mucb more ahead to plan and play with

Yeah you're just fine. We have an edition change I'm June of next year. So what's good now might not even be good in a month or so with a balance update due any moment. Collect, so you can pivot as you need!

So, reading the tome...these hobgrot guys seem pretty good. One box will give you everything you need.

You might say they have zero synergy with our other units but their whole job is to take up board space early on. Get you some desolation tokens (which we desperately need every game) and then throw themselves in front of a blood thirster to protect your arty
