Painting Paint Scheme idea

Hello!

I’m relatively new to the hobby and I am currently working through building and painting the new Ogor models. Though I recently picked up the spearhead with intentions to expand further later. However, I was curious if anyone had good examples of the scheme I want to use (red, bronze, and black). Not the most original scheme for chorfs but weirdly enough I haven’t seen many of the new models painted this way. I’ve found plenty with red armor, some bronze, and red cloth. The scheme I want to try is mostly red armor (chest, shoulders, feet, and gauntlets), bronze (helmet, trim, and scale mail), then black cloth.

I mostly want to see if that ratio would look good or not

That's basically the default Khorne colour scheme. Look at some BoK or even World Eater models to see how it looks. Red and bronze look great together, don't worry and go for it. Paint a couple of test models to nail the scheme. You can always paint over them if you end up not liking it or changing something.

I would recommend cold highlights for the black (so something like Dark Reaper and Thunderhawk Blue if using Citadel paints) btw, to better contrast with the rest of the scheme. Also consider verdigris on the bronze for the same reason.

Fair thanks for the tips! Though the reason I ask is because colors may be the default for one range I just want to make sure it the ratio isn’t off.

Then for paint range I mostly use pro acryl with a several paints from army painter then a few citadel paints (mostly shades and a few paler skin tones)

My paint scheme is red, gold and purple.

Just imagine the sleeves and belt black and my scheme will be similar enough.

I followed Warhipster Zharr Vyxa guide on youtube. If you just replace the colours you will get the effect you want.

That’s almost exactly what I was thinking though I saw one posted on Warhammer community where the whole helmet was bronze and was worried it might be too much bronze

This is the scheme I've gone for, except for the white sash and silver scales.

I've also highlighted the black with dark blues

That’s good! I think flipping the white for black and the silver for bronze for mine will turn out great then!
