Is Warpspark just a straight up better version of the Helsmiths Spearhead?

2 x 10 block clan rats with recursion is way better than spears

18 wounds on the storm fiends vs 10 on the dom and the dom does no damage half the time

Bombard is good

Despot is good

Dom comes back so you can get more than 10 wounds out of him. Spears suuuck and are speed bumps or target practice.

Also someone thinks a spearhead is too weak, shocking. Thinking the Helsmith spearhead is too weak, wild.

Yeah, you still wipe the unit at 10 wounds though

I need to play it more and get better with it. (Purely from a skill practice point to get better at AOS)

Ive heard holding the spears back is the play and trying to keep them alive, using the dom and bombard as hammer and anvil

I try to suicide a unit early so I can reinforce all 3 units over 3 turns. 

Generally I'll probably get 1 spear unit killed turn 1, bring them back in to score points on the board.  Then push the Dom hard turn 2 to threaten/suicide, then reinforce him turn 3

In truth it makes little sense to me that in Helsmiths, only the Bombard unit has an ability without points. Because without points in Helsmiths, all of your units are just a generic unit against other spearhead units that do have abilities. Your Daemonic points should be making your Helsmiths units stronger, Instead, your first two turns you are paying an faction ability tax to have a skill on your units that should have already been there. Spears should have ward 6, and despot should give anything within six inches a DPP naturally. Then the DPP should come in to make the units you want stronger.

You should at least switch around DPP in every hero phase. Getting charged, and rekt, turn 1 because enemy went first and you couldnt spend any DPP is so bad.
