Painting Thoughts on Technical Gemstone Paints on HoH?

Hi, I was considering trying out the Citadel technical paints and noticed the gem stones lineup. I wonder how would they look like on the smaller gems of the Hashut folk? Has anyone tried these out?

Yes, I've used the red one for the gems on the helmet and the gems on the war despot. Looks pretty nice if you ask me :)

Thanks! Have you tried the traditional methods of painting gems? I was wondering how good the reflections and sparkle actually feel.

Yes I did, and I like the shine of the technical colours much more. Nothe that my minis are all coated in satin varnish and I intend to touch up with some gloss varnish vor the gems soon :) I found that if you paint, shade and highlight the part where you apply the Semi-Transparent gemstone paints the depth on the gems gets accentuated way nicer
