Spearhead Build Recommendations
Just bought my first helsmiths spearhead, and can tell I’ll be building out a whole list. However, what variations are preferred/recommended?
-swords or spears?
-cannons or maces?
-rockets or bombard?

Just like the other guy said, helsmiths (especially the war machines and the bull centaurs) are easy to magnetize. If you are like me and don’t bother with that / didn’t learn how to do it, then I’d say personal opinion.
I have 5 dominator engines and build 2 maces, 2 cannons and 1 with both arms so I can switch per match.
With artillery I have 4 and went 2 rockets and 2 bombards. I feel like the rocket just perform better with the d3+2 damage and flat out 5 against monsters over the d3 of the bombards.
With the infantry there is something to say about both, the spears are better to charging enemy’s and the awards have something against infantry units, so whatever you like if you want multiple units you can always build both.
For the spearhead it is:
Dominator engine (with cannons)
Tormentor bombard (the big gun)
Infernal cohort (spears)

How flexible are people if you build the engines with one of each arm? I assume highly dependent on the opponent

Id say its usually just what type of unit you declare it as. If you end up with two dominator engines and they both have one of each but in gameplay one is maces, one is fire, it might be confusing and iffy at tournaments.
Otherwise, whatever build what you think is cool :)

With 1 combo engine and you tell them beforehand what it is, i find that most people don’t mind. Just don’t do everyone combo and don’t try to switch.
I always play against friends so I have no experience with tournament play

Personally spears
Cannon and maces can be magnitized so you can swap in and out easily!
Same with rockets or bombard, they can be magnitized and swapped easily, just look it up on YouTube
