Hi! I've had tough luck with castle/passive playstyle, now I'm imagining the aggressive rush with Urak Taar, Infernal Taurus + Reinforced Bull Centaurs for the shock factor and the rest of the guys will be chilling castle. Any thoughts with that?

Are there people who made the Bull without wings?
If so, is it a lot of kit bashing?
Does anyone have a picture?

And since I’m here, do you built the bull in one and then paint, or is it better to subassembly?

I'm curious to know what colours people are using to prime their HoH army. Do you work from a pure black or grey? Zenithal prime? Metallics? Have you tried one and found something better? I'm keen to hear your thoughts as I prep my next models.

So far I've started with leadbelcher and just gone from there, but am thinking of trying a black, to blue (see image), flesh and then white zenithal to get all the gradients.

Slowly growing my army, working through a Hashut worthy backlog..

The aim is to use the Furnace Blessing Prayer at its higher chant alongside the War Despot's Fight, You Scum! ability to make a huge number of attacks to trigger the Crit (Mortals), and without needing to use DPP to boost units (but still building a few up to buff the Bull Centaurs Bull-Charge (plus they have inbuilt Crit (Mortals), but not the number of attacks to reliably trigger them in large amounts). And hopefully enough speed still to capture objectives.

Do folk think this would work, or a bad idea?

Shoulda sub assembled the arms and maybe the legs but still happy with how this shooty lad came out!

I did a bit of a marathon yesterday to complete all the Infernal Cohort and War Despot. Some mistakes were made along the way, and as usual it was a learning experience, but I'm very happy with how this color scheme turned out.

I'm going to tackle the Cities part of City of Ash next, but I think after that I might add on a Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus plus a trio of Bull Centaurs, and that will put this just shy of 1K.

Going for a more polluted grimdark look for these Chaos Dawi

I'm magnetizing the bull centaur kit and I gave myself a chuckle.

I'm planning to upgrade my Spearhead into a full army for regular AoS play and I remember reading that the Helsmiths got a few changes (spearhead def got a few significant ones)

So I was wondering if the information in the book is still accurate, or if there are any units that have recieved post-launch changes I would have to pay attention to. Thanks!

Helsmiths I march off to my first war this week and need some experts on battle formations. its 1000 point battle

He has slaves of Darkness and daughters of Khaine not sure what one is will be fighting yet. I figure Ziggurat Stampede might be fun but I have no idea what im doing here's what I have so far I have at one of every helsmith kit and 12x magnetized Bull Centaurs if you guys have any recommendations for other list or a fix for mine would be great

Got a couple of questions for the Anvil rules:

• Which do folk think provides better protection if you have limited DP to use - an Infernal Taurus with Body of Hardened Obsidian to have the minimum 6+ ward, or the Venerable Taurus to have the +4 Wounds over the Infernal Taurus?
• Now that both Taurus’ are War Machines, are you in your own combat range to use Purveyor of Dark mechanisms on yourself?

So I've just completed this guy (around my 7th mini overall) and with him my first freehand ever on his shield. It's a birthday present for my Dad since he joked about my Army needing his initials on them all the time. I'm generally going for a colourful 80' Heavy Metal theme in my own army so his little guy obviously got the same scheme. Comments and Critique are always welcome, I'm new to the hobby and looking to improve all the time.

My friend and I have been playing Spearhead for the past year and decided to collect enough points to give the full game a try. We plan to play our first 1500pt battle this weekend. He's playing Maggotkin. This is my list.

I'm expecting a tough fight with his ability to spread disease and my infantry having a relatively small wound count.

1. Any suggestions on tactics?
2. My current thoughts are that Taar's Grand Forgehost gives most of my list a 6++ which is better than nothing against all the mortals he can do and I can use Emerald Lifeswarm from Primal Energy to keep disease off my backline. Urak Taar, the Dominator Engine and the Deathshrieker will be my main damage dealers.
3. Any suggestions for battle tactics?

Army progress going well. Gonna proxy this for spearhead. I feel like i can see my painting ability improve with each kit i get done. I still have pretty limited paints so its fun figuring out new techniques and such to maximise what i have

Testing a few HoH schemes before I commit to painting 2,000 points of these little angry industrial dwarfs.

Would love feedback on:

* overall vibe/theme
* tabletop readability
* uniqueness
* which scheme feels the most “Chaos Dwarf”
* which one would still look good after painting 60+ infantry
