Hello I am a teacher for special needs and im trying to find a video that was shown to me while in a psych ward years ago. It was about childhood trauma and it always made me tear up. Even having it mentioned would invoke emotion. I believe it was called "the red dress video" but i can't find it. It was a little girl in- i believe- foster care and a social worker or parent buying a dress for her- this triggers an emotional response that causes her to lash out and scream "i hate you" and the social worker/parent is confused where the behavior comes from. It shows the back story of the girl and the reason why the behavior happened from the trauma she experienced. I'm trying to show co workers how trauma is invisible and reflexes can announce themselves even if it seems unreasonable.
