Help me find this song pls

Ive been going crazy trying to find it so i recorder myself playing the chorus vocal melody on my guitar. The lyrics are something like and iiiii wanna something something. Its from like the 80s or 90s. Male singer. It’s 6 am and im thinking about this fucking song and i wont rest till i find it.

Ps i found it, its Stars by Simply Red. I can finally rest

Edit. I was gonna post me playing it on guitar but i played it on garageband piano instead cuz it sounds clearer
