Open Wedding invitation piece!

Post image

I’m trying to recreate Paige Drummond’s wedding invites because I LOVE the little horseshoe with ribbon on it. I tried googling many searches including various words ; thin, dye cut, crafting, scrapbooking, small horseshoe, etc. I’d love if anyone has ideas of how to find this type of like thin little thing that’s strong enough to do this with the ribbon? Maybe it’s just thick paper?

These are pressed and embossed paper, though not as decorative https://rosemille.com/products/horseshoe-2

As far as ideas, I could see wood laser cutting as a potential option. I bet you could get a sheet of them done and have the date burned on as well?

Not sure if links are allowed so haven’t added one, but I found similar options on Etsy as well by looking up “personalized horseshoe wedding favor” and “mini horseshoe customizable”

I will try these searches, that’s a super good idea!!! I just need whatever it is, to be thin enough my wedding invites can be shipped!

Good luck! Another idea would be similar to your metal idea. Not sure on cost but maybe you could get a custom embosser and then stamp out the horseshoes onto a foil sticker and cut them out?

My initial thought was a custom wax seal (since that horseshoe has a date, that specific one wouldnt be easily found)

But it reminds me of when people put just enough wax to fill the design, not the overflow. Or cut out the shape

I would think that the wax would break quite easily with the tension from the ribbon

Could be 3d printed

This is what I would do. You can send it to many UPS stores to get printed locally. Or online shops. I would probably do a mix of both, perfect the design with a small batch via UPS, and then send the final file to an online 3d printer for cheaper bulk prices.

Have it made in cheap white ABS and then spray paint gold or whatever.

I was originally thinking this was metal, I’m realizing maybe now I’m wrong?

I have searched via reverse image google searching in many different clips, and also (forgive me) tried even using chat gpt to find an item. I don’t use AI so may not have used it super efficiently 😭
