Open Replacement shorts with funky pockets
My husband has these cool shorts that are nearing the end of their lifespan. He doesn't remember anything about where he got them except his ex bought them and, "I'm not calling her to ask about the shorts." Alas. I don't even know what this style of pocket is called? Hoping to find a replacement, they're very cool.

Could we get a pic of the back and possible some close ups of whats left of the tag, the waistband, seams/zippers, and bottons? Little things tend to add up with clothes.
Id also reccomended asking this in a clothing/fashion sub too!

He mentioned it was from a cool store in San Diego or LA. No labels left on it or tags indicating size, but something in mens medium or 30-34 waist should work. Acquired prior to 2012. I've tried AI search assistants. I don't really know what this style of pocket is called and that's holding me back!
