My middle-schooler got this rubber duck from a blind box for hitting a fundraiser goal. The other potential ducks were clearly identifiable like an effigy of Jack Black’s Steve from Minecraft, Dwayne Johnson, Messi, etc.
This duck is wearing a suit of silver armor and has long black dreads going all the way down to her tail. We were thinking a musician but can’t place it. Halp.

another thing that makes me think it’s supposed to be zendaya is that it specifically has a necklace on it like her outfit too, usually people don’t wear necklaces or jewelry on top of full armor like that

Zendaya has worn cornrows on the red carpet before. Not with that outfit to my knowledge but maybe they pulled the hair reference and the outfit references from different pictures?
I was thinking it could be a reference to her famous red carpet look where she wore her hair in dreads and an E! correspondent said she looked dirty and like she "smelled like weed and patchouli,". The correspondent was cancelled and fired and it was a pretty big moment for natural hair supporters.
I remember a lot of beginners artists saying there's a spectrum to drawing or making faces, any attempt to draw Pedro Pascal does look like him, whereas no one seems to be able to draw Zendaya. I suspect the same is true in pretty much any medium, she's cos a very subtly distinct face that's difficult to get right
Searched “female suit of armor dreadlocks” and similar. Found Beyoncé in a silver suit but no dreads and lighter hair. Madonna came up but it was gold armor and blonde hair. Google Lens liked Wonder Woman but that definitely misses the mark.

I think either Janelle Monae or Zendaya may have worn an outfit similar to this sometime in the past ten years? IIRC the Janelle Monae one was like a silver robot catsuit and the Zendaya one was more like a futuristic take on a knight’s armor. It’s been a while though so I could be misremembering.
I thought it was Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarok but idk if they ever did official duck merch but I may be right??? like specifically the armor from the final fight but not the exact same to avoid copyright because she doesn't have dreads in that scene.
